As a grunt in trenches I can tell you that by and large the support contracts are close to worthless. Veritas, MS, Netapp, and symantech are the especially bad. I won't go into the gory details but suffice it to say it usually takes days or weeks just to get them admit that you are having a problem in the first place. Their attitude is that their products are perfect and 100% bug free and work perfectly on supported hardware. These children start work sometimes as early as 5 carrying rocks or other hard labor. By the time they are 12 or 13 their bodies are ruined from poor nutrition and physical labor. As a bonus they have accumulated more debt then they can ever pay off because the company was charging for their room and board. Their best bet is to give birth and sell the child or go into prostitution. I won't even go into the atrocious sanitary conditions and complete lack of environmental regulations in the third world.
So how does an american company compete with that? In India there is an overabundance of human beings so they can specialize in cheap labor.
There is no such thing as free trade because the world is not playing by one set of rules.

Right now there are two major J2EE engines out there. JBOSS and JONAS what is the purpose of a third? Both JBOSS and JONAS are certified by SUN, both of them are proven enterprise ready, both of them have active developers and userbase.
So I'll ask it again. What is the purpose of a third open source J2EE container? Is there some missing functionality tlhey want to implement?

Actually the paintings do not realistically reflect the diet of the early man. Recent studies have shown the early men ate mosly rabbits and other small creatures which they caught with nets. My guess is that the women netted the animals and prepared them while the men painted the walls. They painted rare heroic acts like hunting large animals while every day meals like roots, grubs, rabbits etc did not get any screenplay.
