    AFAIK no reviewer that had a macbook in his hands has tried to get windows running on it, yet.

    What's up? Do they have some kind of deal with apple to hide us the fact that we can't run xp (and xp games) before we all buy it and it's too late?

    Do you mean I can tell them to change some setting somewhere to start receiving my emails?
    Then why do they tell me they get everyones email except for gmail ones?

    Well, I'll try and register a hotmail account and do some experiments.

    I have to use a different account to keep in contact with those frieds of mine that still uses hotmail and wont switch (mainly because they'd loose their friends thet uses hotmail)

    the best way for me to improve productivity wold be me closing firefox and getting some work done!!!

    I have dreamed about an extension that would only let me check the websites I really need to work... like asking me to solve complex operations before letting me open a site not on The List.

    Man, I was going to write exactly the same sentence.
    With a note. You can probably expect an "HOWTO build your own xorg7 .deb package" in a few weeks and a backport to sarge (or even etch, maybe) in a few months. If I have spare time I'll go for the build your own...

    I totally agree with the parent, and think that Brown's critique are to take into account.

    The worst problem open office has IMHO is that it tries to poorly replicate the thousands useless features msoffice offers instead of doing what open source is good at: innovating, inventing new ways of doing things.

    Netscape lost while trying to compete with ie feature-wise, firefox wins offering us a "lean and mean browsing machine" where you can plug any exentesion you want (but only if _you_ want).

    I wish yhe open source community tried to build an office suite geared towards simplicity and expandability, not just as bloated and buggy as its competitor...

    I really wish they had integrated Google Reader Google Reader in Gmail, ending up with somenting like Bloglines, rather than this crappy webclips that comes in the way distracting me while I try to concentrate on my emails (yes, I just disabled them)

    I actually looked at writing a clone tool for Debian based systems for both chkconfig and the "service" command from RedHat.

    Dont! read the other answers first. Debian already has some good administration toys for update-rc.d

    Just learn to use and love apt-cache search

    I just designed my own language (I'm the only one using it right now but the userbase will grow...) it is defined so that it contains all the words that appears in the n letter square I just randomly generated to answer your question.

    (I can also assign them a random meaning if you want me to)

    ??? what? Could you elaborate on this :) ?

    There's no reason to be scared by what comes out of this process. If GPLv3 isn't to your liking, you can continue to license your programs under GPLv2.

    I'll tell what scares me: if people start using it but, say, Debian finds it does not suit the social contranct... kiss goodbay to all your nice .deb packages that "just work".
