And do you have any evidence of SVLUG chicanery?

But part of what the BSD doesn't do is prevent embrace and extend.
If they work hard to modify the software, they should own it? So if I work hard to modify Microsoft Windows XP, should I own it?
If you don't like the GPL, then don't distribute modified GPLed software.

Use the software? You can use GPLed software without restrictions. As for developing/distributing software, you are only free to modify BSDed software if the source is available. What if the previous author did not make it available?
As for freedom, are you requesting the freedom to modify someone else's code into a proprietary product? Is that appropriate freedom?
The Fifth Amendment mentions persons, not citizens. The Sixth Amendment speaks of the accused, not citizens. So why do constitutional protections apply only to citizens?
Oh, yes. Or do what I do. Pick up the phone and don't say anything (I have Caller-ID, so I'm pretty sure if it's someone I don't have to talk to). Rude? Yes!
Microsoft may well indemnify people against patent/copyright violations, as their lawyers can handle that. Oh, you want secure software that won't trash your box?

If Time Warner went out of business, it would difficult for me to even notice Google. Hint: check my email address.
But what about the latency?
You mean like the plane in the new movie "Stealth"?
Well, yeah, if PPC is so cool, then why is Apple switching over to Intel? :-)
Also, the problem with legs is those damn kids with their tow-cable enhanced speeders.
I'd rather spare my eyes and use more paper/toner. What are the other advantages of using 10pt fonts over 12pt fonts?
Use a Word document? What about people who don't have Word?
That should be the distance light travels in vacuum. . .
The distance that light travels in 1/299,792,458th of a second.
See Wikipedia.
So Slashdotters don't have a word for sex?
Arbeit Mike Fair! A slogan from my student days, Mike Fair then being a South Carolina state legislator.
I'd rather take my chances against the terrorists. At least they don't demand my moral sanction.
Also, making it a little easier to fight the terrorists is not the only standard of law.
And who said that FDR was my hero?
Should be make? I guess compiling the evidence is more involved than we thought. :-)

And how do they stop
find . -name "*.swf" | xargs rm -f
?
That depends, I'd let Liz Hurley debrief me, but not Starr Jones.
Hello, firefox downloads!
Is SBC as liberal as Speakeasy on what you can run?

There are PPC versions of Linux.
