    Or, to abbreviate it, The UNCLE Commission.

    I am not sure if you are being serious or not, but thinking the UN could solve terrorism is hilarious, I predict it would mostly be uppity judges in Europe issuing warrants for US. governors who sign death warrants for capital crimes. Not much of a solution.

    Carlson is still fixated with Bill Clinton. Tucker is not rational. Tucker is considered mainstream.
    Considering how well Bill's wife is doing running for president as a 1.5 term Senator as her only elected office, I'd say Tucker isn't the only one fixated with Bill Clinton.

    Wanting blue jeans, and ipods doesn't make them on our side. And your half right Ahmadinejad was elected as a reformer, not as a bulwark against the US. The only reason he is popular is b/c of the axis of evil speech. Still it is kind of silly to talk about fighting Islamic terrorism and not mention one of the largest state sponsors or someone who has called your country the Great Satan

    Considering the successes of Keith Olbermann, The Daily Show and the like, it seems that the MSM is realizing that far-right stances are not as viable anymore. Tucker Carlson may be canceled soon, a step in the right direction!
    You do realize given how blatantly partisan Keith, Jon and the like are, that only Tucker will be the to say the emperor has no clothes if a Dem. President was in power. Talks with Iran, North Korea and Hammas will be established.
    Been there done that still nothing changed. N. Korea cheated on their part of the deal or have you forgotten the '90s already? No the real answer as to what the future will be like is meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Oh some of the European leaders may say some nice things about whomever is elected, but the substantive issues that divide Europe and the US will remain.

    Ah, so the right to self-governance only extends to people who agree with your principles, then. Excellent.
    Sure, we don't allow someone to declare themselves KING(based on the results of an election) nor do we allow felons or those in prison to vote, so yes there is an implict expectation that you respect Constitutional principles when you vote(sort of a social contract thing). Otherwise, some really popular fellow or lady could get themselves elected once and then never hold another election.

    Keep in mind contracts usually run out after a set number of albums - the big artists are re-signing up with new record labels, not opting to go independent.
    Actually, the really big artists start their own record label(see Maverick) then sit back and rake in the cash from other people's labor, or wait for the eventual buyout from the mega-corps.

    Plus, there are a lot of christians in the USA, and a question like "Why is water denser than steam?" can legitimately be answered with "Because God says so" (insisting for the candidate to mention something like how the molecules in a liquid attract one another and so tend to be packed closely together whereas the molecules in a gas behave independently of one another and so tend to move apart might offend religious people).
      Or you could mention kinetic energy which is how the molecules in a gas are able to over come the attractive forces. Though I am not sure how kinetic energy offends religious people.

My statement after the quoted statement was more along the lines of highly radioactive waste has other uses besides fuel thus it isn't just thrown out. As for arrogance, well Mr. Pot, I have a Mr. Kettle for you on line two he would like to tell you something. And I wasn't scaremongering, I was scaremocking, that's were I mock the irrational fears of the RADIATION will kill you and everyone you love if it had the chance crowd. Strangely fitting given the orginal topic was Greenpeace admits to mediawhoring, since nothing sells papers like fear, the more irrational the better.

    Riiiight, b/c the failure of the control rods to fully insert due to poor design of the Russian reactor, which was the cause of the Chernobyl diaster is not germane to the point of nuclear safety how? Oh, I see you don't understand the NC State reactor isn't generating steam which is the explosive part of most of the reactor incidents, there problem solved.

    Thousands of tons of high-level nuclear waste from reactors which will be deadly for longer than our lifetimes do not in fact exist.
    Repeat after me, if nuclear waste is "hot"(ie emitting lots of ionizing radiation) it won't stay that way for far longer than our lifetimes (approx. 76 yrs). If it did we would use such material for fuel in a nuclear reactor, not just dump it out. Now, the stuff with half lives listed in thousands of years doesn't produce much radiation so get over yourself, and try not to think about the carbon 14 slowly decaying inside your body.

    I'd like to know which factors have allowed (forced?) the disk storage industry to continue to advance at such a steady pace.
    Easy pr0n, somebody should calculate how much disk space is required given mpeg2 compression to ensure that someone would have the equivalent of 60+ years of pr0n, that is how big hard disks will get.

    Hopefully they only do that after requisitioning the engine, and all other removable components, for use in police vehicles. :D
    Riiiiiiight, google for the youtube vid of the kid taking an e30 m3(2.0L 4 cyclinder engine) and making the cops look like fools w/ their pursuit vehicles (5+ L, V8s). Do you really want cops having the ability to go even faster and harm civilians?

    Try more like ~25% above the likely limit (based on what it would be in the US, probably 25mph), in other words carrying about 50% more kinetic energy than they would have been if they were going the limit.

    Which would be a salient point if we were discussing perfectly elastic collisions. But were not, and depending on the locale the speed limits can vary from 30-35 mph based on which street the most lawyers live on. So going 6 miles over the speed limit is hardly the speed demon you want to believe it is.
