    What ever class rank you had, did every person lower than you end up on welfare? You just took an American citizen's place. Everyone below you was pushed down one spot until some poor bas***d fell off the bottom. Unless you graduated top of your class plus one you are nothing special, many people make the same contribution. But welcome to America, glad you like it.

    Care to list the countries the US is currently "bombing"? I count Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen. I know Pakistan is an intellectual powerhouse but Afghanistan and Yemen? If I had voted for Barack Hussein Obama, rolls right of the tongue doesn't it, I would be ashamed to.

    You make so much overtime because they wont let you go home. Travel? When? You work seven days a week. A few union jobs allow that. Most don't. Get a degree. Disability from working yourself to exhaustion is not as fun (or profitable) as it sounds.

    Because it's easier (on your body). Forty years of "trades" work. Carpel tunnel, both hands, I'm typing with one finger of each hand. Torn rotator cuffs, washing my truck guarantees two days of agony. Long days working in freezing cold or blistering sun.

    How about all four plus some. Like a "smart" traffic light. Efficient, no stopping through traffic for a left turn if no one is turning. Economical, dozens of cars don't sit idle waiting for the light to change while no one is turning. For an entire city the savings could be substantial.

    Actually, the only song on the list I remember hearing is the #1. That's only because my daughter was listing to the radio while cooking something in our kitchen. I remember when "Alley Oop" was number one.

    People are lazy. If the polls indicate that your candidate is winning you might just stay home and not trouble yourself to vote. The networks called Bush the winner in Florida at 7:00 pm Eastern time but west Florida is in the Central time zone so voting was open for another hour. Bush only carried Florida (and the election) by 600 votes. What if 601 people in Pensacola had though Bush had it and stayed home. We can only wish.

    My 38 year old son does quite well as a lawyer. His first job out of law school was negotiating contracts for cell phone tower locations. Law degree required to be considered for job. Second and present job, contract manager for the eastern US in the power generating division of a major German corporation. Two years as an Air Force officer based in Germany did enhance his credentials.

    There are more illegals here than the entire populations of Sweden, Norway and Denmark put together. They have their own economy. They migrate back and forth across the southern border just as the herds on the Serengeti migrate to new feeding grounds. A well defended wall is the only thing that will keep new ones from coming in. The ones here have already bought enough congressmen that deporting more than a token few will be imposable.

    The only viable alternative is a moratorium on patent enforcement for say, ten years. Most tech is obsolete before the patents run out. I believe the benefit in maximizing the potential in know processes will out way any new developments that will be hidden until they can be patented when the moratorium runs out. That goes the same for copy write. People can draw Micky Mouse on every thing they own for ten years, that ought to get it out of their system.

    Brazil has to make up its mind, are the trees a natural resource, or national treasure? Trees are not immortal, they get old and die. Controlled harvesting can support the population and the forest. It's over two million square miles, does all of it have to remain pristine?

    Jacksonville, Florida has the same type of thing. The People Mover was built with federal money to "help" the disadvantaged get downtown. Unfortunately no one ask the disadvantage if that was where they wanted to go. It leaves from where no one is and goes to where no one wants to be. Typical government project.

    You are so right. AT&T has fiber that runs in front of my home. This line would only have 30 homes on it so it is still dark. I can't even get dsl. I talked to an AT&T serviceman working by my road and ask him why can't I get service. He said AT&T wants to go totally wireless and doesn't want to spend money on landline services anymore.

    I take it you never borrowed money to fund a business before. After expenses ( one of those is interest on debt) any thing left over is profit. You can have a huge debt and still make a huge profit. Debt is not counted against profits.

    I don't know if you are in the US but Hughes-net satellite service is about that price and has higher caps. Wild blue has higher caps but with a 30 day rolling average if you go over it takes two weeks of super slow service to get back under the cap. I use Networx download monitor software. It's available at CNET.com and can give you an hour by hour usage log. If you, or a friend, are technically adept you can flash DD-WRT on your router (if it's compatible) and closely monitor all internet usage.

    I'll end with a personal anecdote. I grew potatoes for the fresh market. At the start of the season we were paid $12 per hundred weight by the local re-packer we sold to. Three weeks into the season we were only paid $4. In the grocery store I noticed that the price of potatoes from this packer in the store remained constant. I ask the company representative when he visited my farm why the store price didn't drop when their supply cost went down. His answer, "We don't want to confuse the consumer."

    Everyone can have $25000 a year if no one has more. Unfortunately those who would have to give up any money they made over $25000 will only work hard enough to make $25000. If no one works to make money there will be none to give away.

    If robots do all the work why would people need an education? The people only need basic skills to repair and maintain robots and be soldiers to defend our mechanized utopia. The self appointed ruling class will train their scions to maintain control and advance technical knowledge.

    Mostly correct except Romney not paying his taxes. He paid his required taxes. If you want to require more taxes from him, lobby your congressman to change the tax law.
