Well, there were two levels like that. One taking place inside a large intestine, the other was outdoors. (The first scrolled down, the second scrolled up) I'm thinking of the outdoors one.
Agreed on Barber's Adagio, although I thought the version in Homeworld was much too fast. I have a recording by the Choir of Trinity College (I think) that is absolutely amazing.
I know alot of people think Halo is overhyped. But O'Donnell did some really nice work on those soundtracks. ("Finish the Fight" completely MADE the E3 trailer, for me)
As a college trained musician (French Horn) I still enjoy Guitar Hero for what it is. However, I disagree about game soundtracks being worthless. Several Square games have excellent soundtracks that orchestrate well. (FFVI, Chrono Trigger are a couple examples) Some of the tracks from Donkey Kong Country are good in their own right. (The background music for underwater levels comes to mind)
However, I can't see TFA from work, so I can't really comment on their list.
Something tells me the lack of upgraded graphics for mac users is due to transgaming not being able to make SM2 work. It's not a true mac app, it's a windows app running under Cider. Set your expectations accordingly.
I once asked a Best Buy rep what the difference was between the ATI Radeon 9800 and the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro. (Besides $100) Unfortunately for him, the specs posted on the boxes are identical between the two cards. I think the poor guys head exploded. (The only difference was clock speed, btw)
But you can't really draw a real conclusion from this information. Some of us intentionally play against our normal instincts. I'm running my first playthrough of Mass Effect, and I'm pushing renegade specifically because it is different from how I would handle these situations. (And I still ended up with some paragon points, dangit) Role-playing is pretty boring when you RP yourself.
My sub with Live is $50/year. Works out to $4.16/month. Just the integrated voice chat is worth that, IMO. The DS/Wii doesn't have anything remotely comparable to Live. I can't comment on PS3.
IIRC, MST3K lasted quite a while on Comedy Central. (6 seasons I believe) Thats not 'quickly killed off' by any stretch. Especially for a series with 2-hour episodes.
Okay, lets get something straight: Just because you didn't plan to buy something doesn't mean you can get it by other means. It's not a justification. The "It doesn't matter because I wasn't going to buy it anyway" line is total bullshit.
Notice I'm not saying "DONT PIRATE" or anything, as frankly I don't care. But at least stop deluding yourself with half-assed justifications.

It's not a remix, it's a transcription or arrangement. (Depending on how much they deviate from the original score)
I would kill to hear a wind ensemble arrangement of the credits music from StarFox.
Crap, I may need to fire up Sibelius...

Homeworld used Barber's Adagio in the first mission. (A piece that has been used in a million things) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barber's_Adagio

Because hardware doesn't require maintenance, and software never needs updating...
A brick can solve many problems, depending on how broad your definition of 'solve' is...

If you take your logic just one more step and we're looking at Childbirth = Citizenship. We will be run by soccer moms. God help us all.
What, kind of like registered sex offenders having to announce themselves when they move into a neighborhood?

Why can't anyone say "I'm anti-abortion, Because Pro-Life sounds so much more wholesome.
I own a Wii. I love the Wii. You can't compare the online functionality to that of the 360 with a straight face, can you?

$4.16/month is substantial? Seriously?
"If we hit that bullseye, then the rest of the dominos will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate."

While I don't disagree, I would prefer both to be viable professions. (With proper protections for fair use, of course)

Umm, yes it is. It's just more profitable to go after the uploaders as the 'value' of their infringement is much higher.
"You downloaded 10 songs, equalling 10 violations" vs. "You distributed 10 songs to 100 people, equalling 1000 violations"
