    Some ads are pretty funny. So I do get some enjoyment of watching them. But the fact remains, that I have never bought something just because I saw it on tv. So watch or don't watch, it's all the same to me.

    1) It no longer geared towards giving people FOSS so that they may (literally) be free of foreign software overloads

    2) That which I was even more excited about, their UI, is fought to be a failure even internally

    At this point, it's best not to distribute OLPC at all. Time to go back to the drawing board with a fresh start.

    So the requirements of your business problem required cross-platform support, yet you chose a tool which is decidedly not cross-platform? Why?

    Some people realllyyyyy like .NET. I use .NET all the time, but I can't say I like it half as much as Python.

    Why are we both considered trolls? This wasn't even on a machine I put together myself, it came with Windows on it.

    It didn't start with SP3. Various configurations of Windows XP have trouble even detecting and utilizing the full speed of some AMD processors. I have fought several hours with this issue myself.

    And I am referring to server environments where you aren't constant adding removing programs. If you think SELinux is a pain in the ass to use for any software that comes packaged for the distro you're using, either there is a problem with the package itself, or there is some strange thing wrong. If we were talking about SELinux in FC2 I would agree, but at F8 , EL5 level, there is really not excuse. The devs even made a tool which tells you exactly how ti fix issues that cause alerts|blocks.

    The boy isn't more valuable than a girl. Technically it's the other way around -- boys can't make children, normally at least. One boy can fertilize as many female as he has time for. A girl can only get fertilized every 9 months. (this is oversimplified , but I think you get the idea)

    But considering how distracted and divided humans still are, the earth will likely fix this load we are putting on it's resources. It has been known to erase lives hundreds of thousands at a time. In the USA alone there is a super volcano about due, and a few plate movements are overdue. A lot of people take issues with the population control methods utilized by the Chinese -- how much more densely populated would China be without those measures? What's point of a new bouncing baby girl if there isn't enough food available to feed her?

    While you may have a point, you choice of example "votes" is a bad choice. People across demographics have serious doubts that their votes really matter, at lease besides for the next American Idol.
