How is a ranking going to hurt google? They aren't offering content, they're offering a service - one, which I might add, is best when I don't have to be there long.
Is all this DRM on BlueRay and HD-DVD optional? Ie. if I were to release a movie under the creative commons liscence, could I put it on one of the new formats in a way that it would be playable on a Linux box?
While I'm somewhat aware of the social problems faced by autistic children and their families, but don't said children also have their own special abilities that tend to be lost the more they are socialized?
It's pretty clear that US cooperations have quite a bit of rights, and can take many forms of legal actions to their own benefit. But what about the consumers?
6 months seems fair, maybe even lenient - I can't really of any valid reasons for bringing in video recording equipment into a cinema. 6 months seems even more fair considering the poor quality of these kind of recordings after engineerings spent so many hours creating the "pretty" graphics.
Microsoft is a business. OSS is a community. Microsoft is out to make money. Only part of OSS is generating money through payment for services. Microsoft is completely successful as a business, and is making lots of money - there is little, if anything more OSS can teach Microsoft about money making.
as to if software patents are good at all? I would like to believe that there is enough money involved that finding out whether or not any effort should be spent on them would be a necessary thing. I myself aren't convinced that software patents are useful, but I don't claim to be an expert - some evidence would be nice however.

Are US citizens more capable of handling explosives? Or do they have a lower tendency to cause harm with intent by way of explosives?
I mean at least who on Slashdot cares? Unless you have Apple stock, I don't think any Slashdotter is salivating.
Thanks for that study my friends.

When I rather the evil Google corp have (some) of my data than Microsoft have any of my data?
NO ONE runs Windows for easy installation.
Who said they were violating the GPL?
I've been trying to get an Ubuntu laptop myself, maybe Microsoft can give me a laptop too.
One could also call it pruning of the old branches though.
I wasn't aware of that. eBay has 5 of them though (as of this posting)
others have: Novel, Xandros, Linspire
Okay, but I wasn't implying that it was banned though.
Is Manhunt 2 better than Clockwork Orange? Because I liked that movie. Hope Manhunt 2 comes out for Wii.

Sounds like a terribly flawed system to me if no one knows what is legal/illegal.
