I'm still more worried about the RIAA than Google. The former seems to have a hand in, or is associated with gun wielding police officers. Just pass some legislation to ensure that Google cannot do this, and that one never _must_ use Google (assuming there are alternatives) and I am fine with this. AdBlock will take care of obtrusive ads.
Thank you Novel for pioneering the future where MS doesn't even have to use or code for Linux to profit off of it. Thank you for the future where we essentially need MS's permission to run software.
When your stuff works too well, you have to "fix" it. When it doesn't work well enough, you have to fix it. And in the theoretical scenario where you get it to work just right, you'll be hated, and likely out of a job.
Yes, I understand the difference, I meant domain name.
Of course the domain can server as an alias for the ip address
Of course I understand, maybe you don't... in order for a typical website to work, one looksup its domain name to get the ip address, and the browser sends the http request to port 80, no?
Just don't allow it. There's no possible positive in even allowing cyberquating. If someone wants to register a website that looks like a cybersquat, attach a clause saying they have x amount of days to put up an actual website, assuming there is a port 80 attached to that domain. Or can the registrars not stay away from the easy money themselves?
Ignore the RIAA and their clones, and their artists. Stay with old music exclusively, or take the money that you would have spent otherwise, and support a local band, there must be at least one in fair distance who you like.
I would like to see the same board underline how cooperate owned news media, and human written reference material are that much more reliable that partially peer reviewed, but publicly refutable medium. I am in no way denying the obvious problems with Wikipedia.
why they even give work visas still. It seems like the majority of "red blooded American's" don't even like foreigners.

Couldn't happen to a better company.
Already doing this, despite the fact that there are some nice looking peripherals that happen to be Microsoft branded.

Seems at most "stupid", nothing more than that.
Hmm, what was racist about that?
I wonder why you've been modded flaimbait. Is the Ubuntu fever that high here?
Has it ever _not_ been like that? You're taking about the Mozilla email client, right?
Now we'll never hear the end of the "Ubuntu Rocks" guys

In terms of patches sent upstream, work on the kernel, etc?
So it is sexist to let women naturally enter into a field. But it is _not_ sexist to dumb down a field with the intention of drawing in women?
Hence the clause that this _only_ be enforced on domains being _used_ for http.
It's a pity that you lack comprehension, and so feel to pass that off on me.
A lot of people have been murdered every day. You do realize that, right?
It's okay if it makes you wonder, just don't do it.
So true, but apparently, an American life is worth more than an Iraqi life.

It must suck to be unable to use Google
Please say it ain't so. Get of the Don Imus nonsense already.

No. I don't know why anyone seems to think they are different either. It's not as if one set are policitians, and the other are priests.
