Not everything sold through Amazon is Amazon.. there are a few flaky vendors in there.. I've only had one purchase myself that I wasn't 100 percent satisfied that I got what I ordered, and this was one of those vendors.. I ordered a phone system for the house, and it was supposed to be black, but the phones were silver.. it also wasn't in the original packaging, and no manual.. I could have been justified in returning it, but the color wasn't that big a deal, it was the same model, and although not in the original box, it wasn't used.. The manual took me a few minutes to find on the net and print.. works just like it should.

I guess everyone has different levels of what they will accept before returning things ordered online.. If I had a higher rate of failure, such as the guy in the article, I think I would be shopping elsewhere.. It would just be too much hassel to pack it up and get an RMA number, drive to UPS, and all the other hoops you have to jump.. So I tend to agree with you that there is something wrong with someone who continues to do the same thing over and over,, It's like a guy going to a restuarant every day and complaining about the food to get a free meal.. he's either crazy, or just enjoys the attention of someone who will address his complaints (right up to the point they ban him).

In a perfect world, I suppose you would never have a worker drone mess up their work station requiring IT to waste valuable pencils to the ceiling time fixing it.. but that doesn't mean that all the drones, or even most of them are bad.. perhaps time would be better spent in repairing or replacing the drones that are the problem.. I mean keeping your workstation going and not doing things that will screw it up.. is not exactly rocket science.. perhaps those drones shouldn't be in the position they are in.

If a user calls tech support because they can't find the button to print, that's a bug in your product: the print button should be easier to find.

That is not a bug.. that is a design flaw.. Bugs require immediate attention, design flaws get addressed over time, and the developer should be collecting a list of flaws to address.. Each developers personal situation is different, and the time and resources available to them to address the flaws are theirs to manage as they see fit.. but true "bugs" are usually priority, with changes in features and design after that. However, you can bet that if a problem such as a misplaced print button seems to take up a significant amount of time for them to explain, they will make it a priority to fix.

Yes it can be done "the other way" or other ways different altogether.. but here is the thing that most of the critics of it can't seem to grasp.. It is logical, and does make sense..
