    "350" computers, that's not a competition, that's a joke !

    And note that Symantec has a history of beeing anti-Linux in their Advisories.

    People go on and on about how high the resolution on a camera is, but I rarely take a picture with my 2 megapixel camera that's sharp enough to take advantage of all 2000 of those pixels.

    In a 2 MegaPixel camera, there are 4 types of color receptors. So, at maximum resolution, each pixel in your photo is made up of of light that was received by at least 4 receptors. That's why your photos look 'blurred' when you zoom in on them..

    The way you choose your words incicates that either 1) You didn'y read the article, or 2) You read it but didn't understand it.

    *Tinkering* per-ce doesn't damage anything (Well, except maybe your stereo or whatever thing you are tinkering with).

    Let's say that the entertainment Mafia gets everything they want today. That is, tonight every thing they have ever requested will be written into law. Do you think they will stop demanding new things ?? No way !

    And that is exactly why you have to protect your rights. If you don't you might wake up one morning and only be able to 'lease' certain things, that is, pay rent for using them.

    PHP Support. As of 4.2.0, Apache2 support was experimental. The change log does not show anything which says its supported.

    Well, my server has been running nicely for quite some time now.

    I haven't encountered a single problem, Well, except that the default config is more secure and I had to manually change it to run legacy apps.

    You didn't read the links did you ??? It looks like MS has some realy scary shit on their to-do list. A security problem they know exists, but don't know what is, and is in active use (enough to issue a bulletin).

    That's only one half of the truth. Although the electrons travel at almost lightspeed, they constantly change their direction back-and-forth, so if you could see a single alectron, it would appear to be traveling at about 3cm/second in (actually *on*) a copper wire.

    And "triple des encryption" ?? Meaning PIX/PIX connections are encrypted ? I think FreeSWAN could solve that problem ?? Unless I am not understanding correctly... "triple DES encryption" could realy mean a lot of things in this context.

    No, not realy. I was thinking of it in terms of a solution to propose to the company where I work. The PIX would been bought + a support contract for it.

    I just don't see the added value in comparison to Linux/IPTables .

    sure, you could say it's their fault for having an outdated business model, but there's a problem: these sources are where A LOT of the content for your PVR comes from. If they die, there's nothing for your PVR to record

    A small button, on the remote control, that skips 30 secs of the video stream is now supposed to be able to kill TV as we know it ?

    RIAA's strongest claim is that easily downloadable music, hurts sales. And even though it's not a scientific study, at least we have a real-world-example here. Personally I think Eminem's last album was also a good example of that claim's nonsense.

    Now have a look at Palm's Knowledge Libarary article:
    Palm is updating its statements of color capability, because it has since learned that the combination of color technologies it employed deliver about 58,621 color combinations, an approximate 11 percent difference.

    Note now they use the word *deliver* instead of *display*. The m130 can only *display* 4096 colors at a time, but by updating those colors realy fast, it can create the *illusion* of 58,621 colors. The colors are 'delivered' to the user's mind, by tricking his brain into blending different colors.
