  1. Re:Quietly, quietly on Apple Quietly Fixes DTrace · · Score: 1

Quietly, as in with a minimum of fanfare or huge public announcements ala "Announcing Leopard with better spots (comes with paint remover for the ones we painted ion before)".

You know the way MS markets things: Windows XP SP3 - "Like omg its the bestest SP we've ever released! Now with 10% less bugs! PS. we recycle chairs - XP is now more green. Save the trees, send your old chairs to Steve."

If these statistics are based on surveys obviously they are going to be low. If I got a survey saying "do you pirate RIAA music over P2P" obviously everyone is going to say no. No one is going to admit to doing something illegal on a survey. You almost had it right:

"Do you still pirate songs off the interwebs?"

    A. Yes.
    b. No.

Note that Ruby scripting is being integrated into Silverlight - which is similar to Flash - not Internet Explorer. While it offers more than Flash does (you can write full applications ala XUL with Silverlight) it also does similar embedded rich apps ala Flash, but its not a browser (yet).

Sorry if I didn't state as such, but all installs (except for Vista which I do not have) were from stock CDs / burned ISOs. I made my own streamlined XP CD so that SP3 could be pre-installed - unless thats your point? That SP3 should have to be downloaded after install and then run? Thats a fair point I suppose.
