I think P2P forces the movie industry to release their movies on DVD or tape. Also because of region codes on DVD's. Like here in Europe the DVD-release is about a month later. When a movie is released somewhere everyone can start looking for it. I like P2P-networks because it's a working chaos!
I (Gentoo Linux user) never use any of these Office software. It started when I concluded HTML is very easy to learn and very easy to work with. Since that day I never used any office suite again. It allows you to build documents in a flash! (not macromedia)
If you think it hasn't enough functions you can also try XML
Another point of using HTML is that you can read/write it with almost all text editors even the form I'm writing in now!
Gedit does a fine job, my opinion.

Now get person A conviced of using a computer is easy. (A is someone who doesn't know the word click)
Then prove he is doing better than a person B using another OS! (A=B)
EU indeed is upset by US for it's current way of 'controlling' the whole globe
I myself live in Belgium and what people think around here is:
US? I don't care about what they do, just a continent like any other.
Bush? Get a new president, bush is really funny on TV (EU viewpoint) especially his "may god bless america" sentence:-P (were we say 'may god bless the globe")
US Software patents? WTF will they never stop patending everything? Just like they did on the pregnance tests, and that sucks! (a pregnance test costed 10 once, these day's it's over 30) What will this mean to software!
US Software patents? (political view) Is a good income for the country, just like building bombs for another country!
Schools just SUCK when it comes to IT
I myself am 16 years old, and live in Belgium.
@ my school we use winXP boxes for CAD-programs (robodraw) and NT4 for the typical Wort/Expell lessons.
Security is good, but not everything. We have 2 save our CAD drawings to the HD wich is not pw protected. Everyone can delete or change the drawings I made, i solved this by saving my drawings on my own comp @ home by using my ftp-server. No1 can get them there:-P
Other students don't have these tools or such -> their documents and files are insecure.
Back 2 the topic, in my school no student information is stored on the computers! Administrative documents and all of that kind are on a different network (TISK for students TISP for secretary and stuff) and there is no connection between them. We have Wireless also, no protection at all, just drive your car next to the building and your laptop will say: Network Connection Established and you can browse the entire TISK network. BUT there is nothing 2 see over there!
And indeed, tell the admin over there everything trough a good spelled mail (not like my English). If you come with solutions or possible improvements use the words 'I think it is better...' or 'It might be better'
In this way I convinced my school to try Open-Source with OpenOffice as they are always promoting Oxfam (don't know if that's in America) and FAIR trade stuff, this is the right way 2 go!
I told them about Open-Source & bla bla bla, and they stepped into the project with me.
(The admin told me it would take weeks to install it on every computer - - - It took me 1 hour to install OOffice on every computer in 1 classroom, due to slow computing power:-P)
