I think that you answered your own question: if you could stream your own content at 1080p then it would make their stuff look worse by comparison. The AppleTV is there to rent you iTunes content.
Where are you seeing that this was a DoD approved device? You may be correct that it was not technically a rule for all flash drives, but no Army, Air Force, or civilian location where I worked allowed their use at all.
I know for sure that USB drives (flash and otherwise) have been banned on DoD systems for quite a while before 2008. Perhaps other government sectors didn't have this rule in place, but more likely it was simply not being enforced.
This is not a brute-force attack. The article refers to a method of deriving the private key from the public key (which is available for anyone to download).
A breakthrough in solar cell technology is infinitely more important than who punched Snookie in the face or who Tiger slept with, but guess which one will get more attention? I have a hard time with your statement that popularity determines importance.
I just had a great idea, you guys. "Virtual Monitors".
Ok, ok, hear me out.
Through software your computer will generate virtual monitors which can be used to contain an application in a little box on your screen. You can then have several applications open at the same time on the same screen simply by arranging those boxes so that you can see them all. This is especially easy since monitors are larger than ever now.
I am going to be seriously rich. Maybe I will buy some new windows.
I did not say that they were conflicting data sources. What I said is that you are only looking at a small part of your overall usage. You directly consume 32,000 gallons through flushing your toilet, showering, watering your lawn, doing laundry, etc. That does not take into account the water used in the manufacture of the computer you are using right now. Of your phone, your soda in the fridge, all that stuff. Those things do not show up on your statement. You have no way to reasonably measure or understand them.
The summary of TFA spells it out for you. Water consumption is more than what you see on your statement each month. It goes into the products you use every day, whether you realize it or not.
I got permission from Robert Morris and Sam Madden to monitor the wireless traffic during their Computer Systems Engineering class and made an announcement at the beginning of a class period explaining what I’d be doing.
He told everyone up front he was going to do this and people were still chatting, watching TV, reading about Warcraft, and updating their blogs. Just imagine how bad it would have been if he hadn't said anything. I bet some hard working people who were rejected by MIT are really happy to read this.
Didn't they sell for less than that WITH an OS a year ago? Does "netbook" not mean what I think it means (cheap, low power, long battery life, not a desktop replacement)?
I think the fact that it was "pornographic" is missing the point. This guy is not paying attention, yet will be voting on bills that will affect our entire country.

Not to mention the "quality" of internet, one gets in China, what with half of it being blocked out/censored anyways.
If half the internet is blocked then that means their connection is effectively twice as fast!
It's working so well for the airlines; gaming companies want in on the action.

Wait, doesn't slashdot use OpenID?
hahahah
DISREGARD THAT I SUCK COCKS
Wait, doesn't slashdot use OpenID?
I seem to remember some psychological theory that men, at heart, just want to return to the womb.
They do, but not in the way you are thinking.
...looks to be well done.
Perhaps the simplest solution is true? People who enjoy driving fast are naturally attracted to games featuring fast driving?

I thought you were being silly at first, so I searched "neuromancer movie" and look what I found. That is from over a decade ago.
There is a lot to be said for work ethic. Trust me, I know. I'm posting this from work.

Dear AT&T, How much for the Slashdot / Reddit / Gmail / Gaming Bandwidth package? Just planning ahead...
A la carte? You wish. Be prepared to pay for a package of 500 sites you do not want to access Slashdot.
It isn't simple by default. It is made simple by reading the book, as you may have noticed if you bothered to read past the first word of the title.
Average contribution $7.75

Whether it was worth the effort and whether he was right are two independent issues.
Even if he was right. Which lets be realistic here, he wasn't.
Since we're being realistic, mind telling me how was he wrong?
