How do I justify it? If I know my only option is attempting to pick the lesser of two evils, I damn well better pick the lesser to run my country. I also don't enjoy pissing in the wind.
I guess... in regard to your specific example of Bush saying that he never said he wasn't concerned about Osama bin Laden, NBC showed a clip of him saying exactly that about 5 minutes after that debate ended.
If that's your behaviour guidance system, your sex only lasts about a minute anyway, so it's not like you're spending too much time with prostitutes in the first place.
I think I may have posted about this some other time... but the last time I did a clean install, the box was compromised before I even got far enough along on windowsupdate to hit "download." I had to wipe the damn thing and install again, and I actually had to bring it into work to patch it behind the firewall since at the time I only had dial-up and no hardware firewall or software firewall install discs, etc. But yeah, the point is last time I checked it probably took 5 minutes or less.
They mentioned the arrests on NBC... here at the local channel in St. Louis anyway. Along with a whopping 5 or so seconds of footage showing police in riot gear and what not. The story was given less than a minute of air time after the debates. Then they switched to the post-debate rallies.
"A lot of (task force members) were very uncomfortable about data sharing," Farber said. "But all of us at the end felt confident that if the recommendations were followed, it was as good as it was going to get relative to privacy protections."
As good as it's going to get is exactly how good again?
Until software developers make their stuff platform independent... it will always be a Windows world.
This is a chicken/egg thing. Software developers (that do it for a living) won't code for cross-platform usability until it is profitable for them to do so. Why throw money down the drain?
radioSHARK AM/FM Radio with Time Shift Recording [ Now Shipping ]
The radio airwaves will never be safe again. The RadioSHARK adds an AM/FM radio to any Mac or PC -- but that's just the beginning.
The RadioSHARK can record any AM or FM radio broadcast in real time. You can also program it to record a scheduled show, or to 'pause' live radio so you can return right where you left off moments or even hours before (See 'What is Time-Shift Recording?' sidebar above).
RadioSHARK includes a full-featured application that controls all radio and recording functions. Favorite station presets can be set with the click of a mouse, and new stations can be scanned and tuned with ease. The application is also where you program Time-Shift Recording, either to take a break without missing any of a show or to record your favorite broadcast to listen to later.
The RadioSHARK connects to and is powered by USB. The fin-shaped device acts as an antenna and can be positioned for best reception and recording. Any recorded broadcast can be transferred to an iPod or any other AIFF-compatible digital music player to replay on the go.
RadioSHARK gives you control of how and when you listen to your favorite radio shows. Dive in today and take a bite out of the airwaves!
What is Time-Shift Recording? Simply put, time-shift recording allows you to pause a live broadcast and return to it moments -- or even hours -- later and continue exactly where you left off. (it's a lot like a popular TV accessory whose name we can't say...but rhymes with Steve-O.)
radioSHARK also allows you to start and stop recording at any time while you are listening, and lets you schedule recording so you won't miss your favorite radio show.
The application has a spot for "System Requirements" as well as the rules-mentioned "Additional Hardware" so I would guess it's whatever you want to write it in.
I read the article and I don't see where it implies anything about games being bundled with the handheld at release. (That first sentence only says the games will ship at the same time.) If anything, it suggests that there will be a mere 6 titles at release time:
"These two titles will ship in North America alongside NBA STREET and NFL STREET as well as two other unannounced games when the system will make its debut in spring 2005."
I hope they're just referring to EA games because I don't want to have to wait very long for other previously announced titles (like Metal Gear Acid and Ys).
Give me a break. Just about any argument being used today against homosexuals is the same argument used decades ago against the civil rights of minorities. There isn't a difference.
Marriage isn't just about family. It's about formalizing a commitment between two people to essentially act as one in society. You're both responsible for many things (such as paying the bills). Shouldn't two same-sex partners be able to make that same commitment? Or is it cool to you that if one partner dies unexpectedly, the authorities won't even bother contacting their partner because that person isn't legally a spouse? And the financial loss/burden that can impose?
My wife and I plan on never having children (for various reasons), so should we have remained unmarried?
Maybe... a lot of those games are available elsewhere now, however. FF Anthology & FF Chronicles available on the PS (and hence on the PS2 as well) give us access to FFIV, FFV, FFVI and Chrono Trigger. I also don't know how doomed its previous hardware is... the GBA is the dominating force of the handheld market. I guess we'll have to wait and see how Sony's PSP does, which I'm personally rooting for.
Of course I remember when the PlayStation was first announced and thinking to myself, "Sony? Sony doesn't make video games who are they trying to kid?"
I don't know... I've played lots of PS/PS2 games and liked the majority of them. I had an XBox for a year and the only games I ever liked playing on it were Halo and DOA3, though I played at least a dozen different titles I personally thought they were all crap. And when I looked at a lot of games at the store for XBox I noticed a lot of them were also available on the PS2... so I ended up giving my XBox to my brother for Christmas one year along with my games. I would like to play Halo 2, but that's about it. While there was a time where I could justify buying a console to play one game (Halo) I just can't do that anymore.
Our President can correctly say the word "nuclear" and not a moment before.
How do I justify it? If I know my only option is attempting to pick the lesser of two evils, I damn well better pick the lesser to run my country. I also don't enjoy pissing in the wind.
You've obviously never played Oregon Trail (or I never had a good teacher in middle school).
That may be true in a lot of cases, but in the operating system? You can't guarantee ANYTHING is what you want it to be.

When you turned in an essay at school, did you use the same language patterns as you do while speaking?
What? Since when is Drudge a libertarian? The guy worships Bush. Not trolling here, I just think you're confused.
"Your vote doesn't count? The last election was decided by hundreds of votes."
;-)
Actually, it was decided by a handful of partisan judges.
For the rest of that post, yes, I agree: people should learn to put their vote where their mouth is.

It's called the Sims.

Hold on, this is Insightful? Insightful like "640k should be enough for anybody." We're talking about technology here.

And please don't say things like Americans love Bush and they all suck. We don't all support our stupid leaders.
I'm serious -- trips to England & Ireland can be somewhat depressing when people treat you like you're Bush himself just because you're an American.

Not if you're in class and trying to stay out of trouble. ;)
That's about right. They claim no profits from the movies.
