I'm still waiting for a google homepage where I can log in and check my gmail, post to my blogspot blog, check my orkut account, etc. all with one login and hopefully a nice UI like we've come to expect from google.
All this other stuff is nice but I want it all in one place.
Yea but as long as you know your zipcode you can hop right to it: http://www.weather.com/weather/local/63303
And it has changed in the past 5 years, just to bring more ads and popups tho. Nowadays I just check the weather reports on one of my local tv station's websites. http://www.ksdk.com/
The problem is at places like Best Buy where the policy isn't applied uniformly to everyone exiting the store. Other places do this to everybody (like Sam's Club) and no one complains. Which is fine wiht me, because if they do it to everyone it's expected, if it's just picking people at "random" that's something else.
Yeah, but when's the last time sending someone to jail meant actual attempts at rehabilitating those kinds of criminal tendencies (in this case, burglary)? Just throwing someone in jail isn't going to make them "wise up" or whatever. Without actually attempting to make changes, we won't see any.
I'm guessing that last sentence was meant in jest, because it's pretty obvious to me: it only takes a semi-decent writer to make something happen in a MUD, whereas a visual MMO requires skilled modelers and animators. Also, guess which category of people is most likely to do their work on the cheap?
Sorry, but one man can't control power to an entire co-location. I used to work for a local telecom and one day our fiber went down for about 1/3 of our customers. The reason? Some guy shootin' squirrels blew the fiber lines apart. It was on a Sunday too, when there was minimal phone tech support, I think one guy ended up fielding 350+ calls by himself.
What makes you possibly think that would work if everyone would "get paid the same salary"? Businesses would have to conjure up fresh money for new hires (which can be a lot with training costs, insurance, etc.) and wouldn't get anything in return except the same amount of work as when they weren't paying as many people.

You could really argue from either direction, but I would say that regarding privacy, one should assume privacy unless explicitly told otherwise. (If family should be considered private enough or not is probably another issue entirely.)
No you wouldn't, and I'm pretty sure there are disclaimers in the licensing mumbo jumbo to the effect that Windows should not be trusted for life critical applications.
I remember one map where it was basically a race to see who could get to the tank at the military supplies shop first. From there, take the tank to the military base and destroy all of the other tanks so that no one else can get one, then go out and destroy! It was fun.
You're reading it wrong (thought it was written slightly incorrectly -- it should probably say substantially increased the bandwidth utiliziation). If PA's actual bandwidth had increased, there'd be no need for/. to host the images.
My wife and I went to London about 2.5 years ago and one night we were there, we didn't have anything to do so we went looking for a movie. Browsing the ads for local playtimes, each movie had two times listed: when the lights went off and commercials started, and when the movie actually started. I don't know if it was just that theatre or what, but it would be nice to have over here.
I know everyone followed the link to read H.R. 2239 but check this part out, because we really need to get this passed:
(i) No voting system shall at any time contain or use undisclosed software. Any voting system containing or using software shall disclose the source code of that software to the Commission, and the Commission shall make that source code available for inspection upon request to any citizen.

License plates say it better
It only applies if you are *reinstalling*. It will really essentially never affect most users.
So you're saying Windows generally never gets reinstalled on a specific computer?

And I quote, "Popcorn and a date to snuggle up with are up to you. For now."
Here's hoping for the best with all of their future plans!
How could it be? Unless there's some sort of NDA involved. See the Infinium Labs vs. HardOCP thing. (Too lazy to link.)

Wired's latest issue has an article on how the US should be switching to nuclear power. It's fairly lengthy, but very interesting. You can find it online: http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/13.02/nuclear.h tml

Been trying hard to break that habit since :D
;)
I hope you mean breaking that idiot of the habit of showing clients random and incomplete code
You'll understand when you're married. ;)
His beard? Shit, man, what about that SHIRT! Cripes.

Who ever bothers using real information when getting a free email account?

There will be lots of DS systems sitting under the tree this year. There won't be any DS systems there.
You mean no PSP systems?
Which system would you develop for if you were EA?
Both, since I force my developers to work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week with little or no compensation.
Doesn't matter, judges are appointed. Of course there are still enough Democrats to block such appointments, for now at least. (Who knows come 2006.)
