Or if you are going to communicate with some one remotely just send an email , it has many advantages one of them being that whoever you are sending to doesnt have to be home at the time.
for a minute there i was worried.. i thought they were talking about the linux exectable format.
no, no need to worry this is about an unimportant thing in a far away place called real world.
The consulting firm issued a report on Wednesday stating that about 40 percent of Linux PCs will be
modified to run an illegal copy of Windows, a bait-and-switch maneuver that lowers the cost of obtaining a Windows PC.
Modified ?????
Uh oh.. so MS has already installed all their DRM stuff.
Why do people thing that to install a OS you need to mutter a lot of black magic stuff and revese enginere your BIOS , etc.
Just shows how little many ppl know about computers.
I dont think that you could say that these issues are "problems" , however you are right in saying that at the moment we have these "issues". But I think it is incorrect to call them problems.

hmm did ou notice that it isnt google that uses it..... they are just considering using it for client based applications , but for the servers they use cpp.
c++ is really quite 1337 to any of that java stuff. or Visual C++ for that mater. and of cource c shuder dont even rate agenst good ol
ansi c++ with g++.
I have an old Toshiba Terca 8000 which works fine under Linux... ie ACPI works like a charm and sound and even that stupid PCMCIA wifi card I have that needs ndiswrapper to work.... 99% of computer hardware works very well for basic futures under Linux.
its the 1% that is very annoying.
Though still is good that HP , etc are selling laptops with linux pre-installed now . What took them so long ?
Most switch-mode power supplies rectify it anyway so it doesn't mater much .
yes even CRTs.. trust me I know;-)
(man crts are hard 2 follow without a circuit diagram.)
i have a 100MHz server with linux on it......
and i didnt pay a cent for software (or hardware)
but i have 12GB of hdds and a speed of about 7 M bits s^-1..... so that 868$ dollars ? or 280$ for windows.... well it (my server) wont run xp , it could run 2k but bearly..... so i put on a "lite" linux distro rmed all the gui stuff...... so for 0$ on hardware and 0$ of software i have a legle file server for my backups....
sorry about the spelling and fragmentions im not to good at spelling...
limit to 200mg - 300mg per day ?????? ..... ... there was only when i drank about 400mg in a day.

yes this is good now the "little" ppl who use non micrsoft approved programs (e.g. most GPL) will have heaps of problems.
this would just be another way of MS "hurting" the little users.

I get a larger speed increase by using Firefox rather than IE
Dont belive a word of the 88-bit kernel stuff.
