  1. NSFW Fiction vs Non-Fiction on Tumblr Removed From Apple's App Store Over Child Porn Issues (theverge.com) · · Score: 1

Since the take down happened new on Tumblr is the option to report art/drawings separately from photos/videos. Allegedly, this separation is supposed to make it easier for scan/checking reported images.

I love Google as much as the next person, however as of late Chrome has been crashing more and more for me and I've been turning back to Firefox.

Never mind that when I installed this update Chrome crashed when I restarted it...

I hope my position is unique.

  4. Smashing for Charity on What To Do With Old Laptops? · · Score: 1

I know a lot of people smash tend to have "smash a car!" type charities. It might be possible that if you have enough laptops people would pay to smash them with the weapon of their choice. I'm sure if you got in touch with your local high school events council they'd like the idea.

  6. Re:Al Queda, witches, devil worshippers, and gangs on Gangs on the Internet · · Score: 1

Well golly gee, isn't this obvious? Now we have a fool proof plan to find all the members of Al Queda!

Clearly Al Queda members are witches, and we all know that witches burn. But why do witches burn? Because they're made out of wood! Now to figure out if we have apprehended an Al Queda member we won't build a bridge out of them, instead we will find out if they float! Now of course throwing a potential Al Queda member into the pond won't work well either, instead we should find something else that floats to weigh against the potential Al Queda member...

    Bread? No...
    Soap? No...
    Very Small Rocks? No...

    A Duck!

So therefore, if a person weighs the same as a duck, they're made of wood... and therefore, A WITCH! (BURN THEM! BURN THEM ALL!) Oh and a member of Al Queda

  8. Re:naturally... on Nerds Make Better Lovers · · Score: 1

I agree with you to some extent, however what you are describing is a guy who is if anything socially inept, not introverted. Introverted people can be a god sent for some. I have a good female friend of mine who lives up the street from me and every time we walk home from school together she talks about 90% of the time. For example there was this time when I was walking home with her talking about how my latest boyfriend and I had broken up and almost instantaneously after I told her those words she talked non-stop about how she told me this would happen and other threats about how if I ever take him back again she'd kill me. If I was as extroverted as her I would not be able to stand her, however we are great friends because I am introverted. Being introverted is too often referred to as being someone with no social skills. This is not true. I can fill conversation about many things and provide the appropriate commentary when necessary. Even better is that when I am with another introverted person I can become the extroverted one. Because I am not socially inept I can keep up a conversation and not leave things boring and hanging. I don't sit there going "I could be at home right now on IRC with people who understand me" I do agree though. It's not that hard for a geek to clean themselves up and get out there. Don't necessarily get a different hobby, but don't exclude yourself to only having one hobby. Go out there and find one where you could potentially meet other people easily. I recommend becoming a band geek personally, but that's just from my experience :)
