True. But it's not too small to be a convoluted "rm -rf ~". Backups are nice, but restoring is still a hassle. And since I don't know C (and my C++ is rusty), I'm not going to bother slogging through it.

Besides, look at the fun y'all had pouring through it. I got more of a thread out of that (offtopic) post than all of my other comments but one.

RTFA. They recommended that MS make their formats open by submitting them to standards bodies; stop using non-XML formats (only some stuff is currently XML); and (I think) read OO.o files. So they didn't twist MS's arm, but they did encourage the release of those formats.

I spend the majority of my "working time" on the computer word processing, and I actually prefer OO.o. Particularly because of it's UI (for example, double-space is two clicks, not six). And I can create my own outline, thank you very much. Better that way, too, since it gets you to think about what you've written rather than just pressing a button.

Excellent back when people weren't educated even to a high school level, there was no good source of info on current events and political information (newspapers, CNN/Fox (see? bipartisan!), internet, etc), and there was a much bigger gap between wealthy/poor and urban/rural interests.

Now, while people are still largely idiots, there are wealth gaps, etc., the situation is quite different.

And if he wins both votes in November, I'll complain about how he lied to the American people about WMD (much bigger than Lewinsky) yet wasn't impeached, and then used people's fear of WMD/OBL to win the vote.

Thank goodness it's possible to start firefox with a URL, then keep SessionSaver from loading next time FF starts using key commands. I only wish there were some way to prevent anything with a certain regex (say, *lawyer*) in the title from loading immediately, allowing you to look at the titlebar first.
