Research dating back more than a century helps explain this. In the 1890s, the renowned psychologist George Stratton constructed special glasses that caused him to see the world upside down. The remarkable thing was that after a few days, Stratton’s brain adapted to his topsy-turvy worldview, and he no longer saw the world upside down. You might guess that when he took the inverting glasses off, he would start seeing things upside down again. He didn’t. But his vision had what he called, with Victorian charm, “a bewildering air.”
From the link:
While the U.S. federal law only requires one-party consent, many states have accepted different laws. In some states all parties must give their consent or at least be notified that the call is about to be recorded (with necessary opt-out option: if you dont like them to record the call, you can ask them to stop recording). There also was a case law decision from many years ago (the 1950's) that went to the Supreme Court and affirmed that the federal law does not supersede state authority/statutes unless the call or the tap crosses state lines that is why each state went ahead and established their own guideline/statute (emphasis mine)
IANAL, but what if I set up a system where I record the conversation, but before sending it to my storage server I proxy it (to another state, or even another country)? Would I be able to waive the notification requirement?
Well, have tried it another 10 times, (windows calc.exe) and i've been getting 2 results mostly: 3 times i got it in less than 40 seconds, and 7 times i got it in 75(+/-2) [weird, isn't it? i've no idea why, since i didn't start any other applications, and it isn't as if the faster times were together (they were trials # 4,8,10)
On a sidenote, Maple 9 took 0.8 seconds (fully expanded)
i must tell you that Quattro is not pronounced KATruh-port... the italian particle "Qu" is closer to "Kw" than to K{vowel} so Quattro sounds kwa-t-tro there is a VERY small -but nonetheless, it's there- pause between the T's, 'elongating' the sound. (Happens with every double consonant in italian).
Also, 'Porte' sounds "Porte" (the e as in 'echo', you don't leave out the vowels in italian.. And also i think it is a Maserati.
Don't take it personal, it's constructive criticism.

Of course, the trick was to spend resources in shotgun pellets, effectively extending your resources for another 30, 50 years
