The maximum division (0.00000001 BTC, aka 10 nanobitcoins (nBTC) or a Satoshi) is only set by the current protocol. It can be changed in the future if necessary. Doing so would require a fork and would need to be planned and managed carefully by the community though.
But for that to happen, the value of 1 BTC would need to be 1 million US Dollars, and therefore it is unlikely to be a problem for the foreseeable future.
You are misunderstanding what a "confirmation" is. A confirmation is the transaction being included in a block (what the miners are generating), and then more blocks chaining off that block.
11 confirmations means the transaction was included in a block, and then 10 more blocks chained off that one.
The point of this is to ensure that your transaction isn't only on the short end of a fork.
AFAICT, the LIPUS stuff got run through the science-to-media translation matrix and overhyped, as usual.
The "grow new teeth" thing was the result of a study (by Dr. Tarek El-Bialy at the University of Alberta) of it in rabbits, who already have continuously-growing teeth, so presumably provoking the growth of new teeth is a relatively simple task.
In humans, it seems to be mostly useful as a potential treatment for root resorption or to supplement stem cell-based regrowth.
Let's draw an analogy. "I want full access to all my computer repair records and service calls!"
"Ok (hands over records)."
It actually works like that with Sasktel. The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act applies to Crowns, so you can send in an application and get copy of all your service tickets. I think you could also get the call recordings, though I believe they only keep those for a few months.
It wasn't an announcement. It was a reply to a direct question ("Do you believe that the president has the power to authorize lethal force, such as a drone strike, against a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil?") from Rand Paul.
Have you seen what the housing market in Canada is doing lately? It's not exactly a smart move to buy when the market is looking down the barrel of a 10-20% correction.
Barring the independents and van Dongen's 6 months as a Conservative, I don't believe your legislature has had more than one opposing party since 2001.
You might try looking up the company at GetHuman. They've got a pretty good database of the arcane paths you need to follow through the IVR systems to get to a person.
The DMCA prohibits bypassing "access control measures", in this case, carrier locks that control access to cell networks. There is no requirement that they be controlling access to copyrighted material.
Reason $BIGNUM why the DMCA is a horrible law that should have been strangled in the crib.
Because that is the most expensive way to heat anything. Pretty much all other methods are cheaper and a normal heating system can heat where you want thus using less energy to keep you warm.
Not really. At current prices around here, Electrical heating is cheaper than oil. And that's without the power doing anything else useful.
Natural gas and pumped head obviously come out way ahead of both, but if you don't have the equipment already in place for either, that doesn't mean a whole lot.
Mosquitos could fly to Germany, pathfind for heavy bombers, do a little precision bombing themselves and be back in time for breakfast, even if someone put a shell in an engine while over the target. Single engined fighters and 4 engined bombers had far higher loss rates.
It also had the not-inconsiderable virtue of being able to outrun most German fighters. Being able to drop your bombs and be halfway home before the defenders get off the ground will tend to cut down your loss rates.
Neither does the F-35. Only the F-35B is short-takeoff-vertical-landing. The A variant takes off and lands normally and that's the one Canada is/was considering.
That is a bizarre world indeed. Since when does VMWare own SuSE? Last a heard they were bought from Novell by Attachmate, and I don't see where anything has changed there.
VMWare was trying to buy Novell in 2010, but that ended up not happening when Microsoft stepped in and bought some unspecified IP from Novell for $450 million, bringing the price for the rest of the company down to something Attachmate could afford. I'm guessing phoebus missed that bit.
Either that, or they're mixing up EMC Corporation (parent of VMWare) with Elliot Management Corporation (part owner of the Attachmate Group.).
The International Military Tribunal was not the only trial. There were a lot of other trials held and the list of people convicted is way longer than 23.
Yes, administering flu vaccines to seniors is of little use. We know this. Their immune systems aren't able to mount an effective response to the vaccine and develop proper immunity.
What you need to do is vaccinate everyone around them (Families, caregivers, etc.) and protect them via herd immunity.
Or if you really need lots of battery (and live in the USA, as they don't ship internationally yet), there's this massive thing.
1. Have you seen a Gillette commercial lately?
"Use our products for a shave so great that women will leap upon you screaming "DO ME BABY!""

She borders on delusional from the far side, after wrapping around a few times.

It totally destroys the effect if you learn that half of the medication or treatment you get is actually just feel good or placebo medication.
Actually, the placebo effect may actually still work even if the patient knows the treatment is fake.

Black has nothing to do with this newspaper anymore. He sold it way back in 2001.
Somewhat.

but what are you trying to accomplish by organizing a boycott?
Not having my money flowing into organizations (specifically, the LDS church and NOM) that are actively working against equal rights.

One can easily see the insurance companies making everybody take one of these, and then refusing you coverage based on your genetics./quote>
That base is already covered, at least in theory. The Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act was passed in 2008 to deal with that.
1 is already in place, at least theoretically, in the form of the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act.
Yes. The current protocol allows for divisions down to 0.00000001BTC

What's he's saying is encryption doesn't matter if there's shit in the system grabbing your stuff before the encryption or after the decryption.
