  1. Money?? on Boeing Successfully Tests Anti-Missile Laser · · Score: 1

IN response to all the people saying give this money to the school systems is it just me or has throwing money at something rarely if ever worked.

  2. Cell Phones on Senate Candidate Wants to Ban Polling · · Score: 1

I forget the guys name but im pretty sure hes a big wig for gallup. Anyway according to him polling is going to become more and more scewed because of the cell phone. More and more young people are using cell phones instead of land lines. Thus the typical method of just selecting a random group of phone numbers will become more scewed because the younger voters wont be included.

  3. New Material on SciFi Channel To Air A New Galactica Series · · Score: 1

This is just wonderful. maybe now they can put some new material into the show. I mean is it just me or watching the same thing with better cg and starbuck as a girl. Of course i could be wrong and we could get the same old stuff. Who knows the kids beingg able to jump 10times higher than regular earthilings might make another appearance. Well heres to new material that wont suck.

  5. Big government on FCC: Only We Can Regulate Unlicensed Spectrum · · Score: 3, Insightful

Now thats all fine and good but am i the only one paranoid about the government acquiring more power. I say the government should have three jobs: 1) common defense 2) build roads 3) deliver the mail Thats it no more

  7. Riots on Road to the Robocup 2004 · · Score: 1

Every true soccer fan knows the best part of a soccer game is the victory soccer riot. I personally think it would be funny to watch the robots riot.

  8. Good Games on Retro Gaming Gets Hot · · Score: 5, Insightful

Goes to show that all the money and time you spend on graphics and special effects is all for not if the gameplay suks. I mean these games are in 8 bits at best yet the game play is truly revolutionary and addicting still today. I hope this goes as a message to all the game companies that visuals are nice but gameplay is what will truly make the game great

  9. Lobbyists bad on Boucher's DMCRA To Get A Hearing On May 12 · · Score: 1

Maybe I'm just old fashioned or naive but i think that congressmen should vote the way that they feel is right. If we as people don't like this then we'll boot them out come election time. Now back to lobbyists I know that technically all they're supposed to do help "persuade" the lawmakers to their side. Now you would have to be incredibly naive to think that no money or other "services" are being exchanged. Which brings me to my point if these bigwig companies need lobbyists then maybe what they're doing is wrong, and they know it. So therefore i hope these lawmakers ignore the lobbyists and vote the way they feel they ought to.

  10. No Violation on Professor and Student Thwart P2P File Sharing · · Score: 1

If the bigwigs in music continue to flood p2p sites and are sued for breach of the patent it wouldn't stand up in court. The simple reason is that if the people who were awarded the patent base there program off the music industries current program then the music industry will win. The simple reason for this is because all the Music industry has to do is too appeal on the basis that the patent was awarded to somebody when there was already prior "public knowledge." If this happens then the patent is nullified. So therefore the music industry won't be in violation of patent law even if the code these people come up with is exactly the same.
