America also wasn't forced to give authority over itself to the WTO. So yes, unless America wants to revoke the treaties it has made giving authority to the WTO, people will attempt to use the WTO to police America. Amazing how that works.
Microsoft also says that it has not ruled out going it alone and providing some sort of indemnification for its customers who also use Red Hat Linux.
WHY!? Why on Earth would Microsoft feel the need to offer indemnification to someone's customers in the first place? Why not just, y'know, not sue them without making some big announcement? How is it possible that we've entered a time when a software company saying "We've decided NOT to sue someone" will actually create positive PR?
Unless you're an artificial intelligence, you're also a person. And even if you are an AI it's quite possible you're still a person (depending on the definition you use).
There also wasn't any people. Do you want to live in world without people? No. Same way I don't want to live in a world without icebergs (most likely because it will at the very least cause hardship for the aforementioned people).
(which they have to be if they don't want their iTunes content to dry up)
That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. There will always be people wanting to sell their music through Itunes. The content well will never dry up.
How so? The customers have about 20 different developers for spreadsheets, word processors, databases, browsers, etc. All my customers use Microsoft because the software is easy to use and is stable enough for their purposes.
Keep that koolaid away from me. Your customers are also largely using Microsoft products because everyone else is and they need to be compatible with everyone else. Sure they might believe those other things, but to discount that factor is dishonest.
See my answer to your first question -- because the State made it that way, not Microsoft. They were only taking advantage of what you, the voter, wanted.
We also wanted anti-trust laws so when circumstances that we don't like come along, we can get rid of it. Checks and balances dude.
That's funny I thought the hard and soft referred to the sort of science a book has. If it's pretty unrealistic with what we know today (any Star Trek novel, ever) it's soft, whereas if it's fairly realistic (say Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars trilogy) then it's hard.
Absolutely nothing about characterization in those definitions.
Oh you clearly don't understand the headline. The Dolphins didn't sing the Batman theme song. They did Batman. More specifically, they did Adam West. I hear he quite enjoyed it.
While it is only wrong 42% of the time, which is about half of the time, it's impossible to know when it is right and when it is wrong. As such it is useless 100% of the time. Now a doctor being only wrong 20% of the time is much more useful, as you can assume they're right all the time, and you'll only be wrong 1 in 5 times, which for the mathematically retarded, is better then 1 in 2 times (or 1.16 in 2 times for the pedantic).
Graphics aren't that great. If the graphics is the main reason to upgrade from PS2 to PS3, I'm not seeing the reason for upgrading. The side-by-sides showed me that the "updated" graphics are only marginally better, in some cases one could argue they're actually worse.
I've heard that FFXII is even more linear then FFX with it having quests you have to complete and the map showing you where exactly to go in each quest. Is that the case? Can you shed a bit more light on it?
I'm currently playing FFIX and I'm planning on playing FFVIII after that, and then if I'm still into the FFs I'll be playing FFIV and then FFV before completing FFVI.
If I do get sick of the FFs I'll move over to BoF IV before hitting Wild Arms and then Suikoen 1 and 2. Then I might get me some Kartia.
I've got 5 other games on the PSX that I've never completed, and after all these years I do want to complete. And I enjoy every single one of them (school and "teh latest game" often got in the way of finishing them;) That and brothers who have deleting save games as one of their hobbies). So yeah, I obviously follow the mantra "graphics are teh best."
I agree with you, it's rubbish. While it's nice to have eye-candy (hence the reason I'm playing FFIX and FFVIII first, well that and the gameplay and story), but it won't make or break a game.
I reckon I'll be a few years before I even think about buying any more games. And I've still got a few PSX games on my to-buy list before I even think about moving onto the PS2. Although by all means, to those who need the latest thing, have fun waiting in lines for 9 days. Me? I'll be kicking back in my nice, warm home playing great games with great stories and great gameplay.
Oooooooooh. You're evil! For those that think Microsoft would be helping Sony profit: Sony actually sells the consoles at a loss. So it'd cost Sony quite a bit (as no-one would be buying any games, which are sold at pretty high profits to compensate for the console loss, for all those consoles).

Why wouldn't all members of the WTO revoke America's copyright and patents?

But we know people in 1242 wouldn't be able to read it so we wouldn't send information that way.
Oh yeah, that John Titor was definitely from the future. By the way, how's that Civil War going? Y'know, the one that started in 2004
Why is this modded funny?

That was my point.
So they've also been set up to avoid jamming?

Don't forget free to air television. Will the MPAA be stepping up to help with JMRI's case? After all, many movies are played on free to air tv.
No! It isn't below minimum wage. They'd have to be there for several days before it was below minimum wage.

I fucking hate you.
