you absolutely do not need any paid component to do notifications. actually, one of the biggest things about zabbix is that it's true opensource - no "open core" or other bullshit, it's all open source. of course, anybody is free to put out some proprietary application, but anything zabbix team does is opensource.

as for notifications, you can do email, sms, jabber/xmpp and eztexting using the built-in methods, and you can easily extend this without paying for any application

  15. Re:I'm amazed... on George Zimmerman Acquitted In Death of Trayvon Martin · · Score: 0

european here, i have only glanced at bits and pieces of this mess, mostly from slashdot-linked articles.

    1. Why is everyone so upset that evidence about Martin's background that Zimmerman couldn't have known was kept out of court? It seems like since he couldn't have known, it didn't affect the situation at hand and therefore shouldn't be considered. But I might be missing something about why the victim's background is relevant in any case where the murder isn't premeditated.

apparently, various parties tried to portray martin as an innocent, weak kid. as such, evidence that he was nothing but such (including street fights, involvement with illegal guns etc) is highly relevant

    2. At what point does getting out of your car and pursuing somebody become an aggressive act?

never ? it might be annoying, impolite... but never aggressive. how do you "follow aggressively" ? any act of aggression is separate from following.

    3. The stand your ground law was mentioned several times throughout this case, although it doesn't seem to have directly caused the not guilty verdict. What I'm wondering is why that law didn't give Martin the right to stand his ground when Zimmerman pursued him?

you mean, standing his ground when somebody follows him ? i think you have misunderstood that thingie :)
(see above about following being lots of things but not an aggression)

everything seems to open with Zimmerman being justified following him because he was a young black male.
TLDR? Explain why this verdict isn't just racist without coming off as racist yourself.

wtf... i've been mostly reading plain text on this issue, and for quite some time did not even know races/skin colours etc of both men. i haven't seen any video, and i can't recall seeing pictures, although i probably did see them, as i recall imaging zimmerman as a rather (sorry) dorky looking person. this crying wolf seems like reverse racism - oh yes, i'm accusing you of being a racist, as you grab to race as your only exit from the argument :)

(also, isn't zimmerman himself not -really-white-man ? i might be fuzzy on this, as i haven't paid attention to races of parties that much...)

for those who have missed it, paedophilia is being sexually attracted to prepubescent humans. for example, that's small girls who haven't even show a sign of breasts appearing (not sure about boys... boy choirs might fit, as they want boys with "undamaged" voices).
