My landlord owns the movie theater here.. I live upstairs from it. He's a pretty cool guy; lets us bring beers down and run the projectors after closing on the weekends.

My roomate has had Aurora installed on his system for about 2 weeks now, I just haven't had the time to get around to removing it. I've done some quick searches to find information about the removal of Aurora, and it looks like removal involves a lot of tedious work... Doea anyone know of some software that'll remove it so I don't have to do it manually? So far Microsoft Anti Spyware has found it, but not removed it. AdAware hasn't removed it. Spybot Search & Destroy hasn't removed it. AVG Antivirus hasn't removed it. Just a word of advice to others who may be "infected": Direct Revenue has a removal tool on their site. I wouldn't suggest using it after reading a number of posts on forums (computing.net)

Lots of newer windows 98 machines are probably able to run Windows XP without too much trouble, but I have a feeling that Longhorn will be quite a bit more resource intensive.

The only feature in Windows XP that I like is the way it groups apps on the taskbar. That, and the picture viewer is nice. (I'm not being sarcastic, I think that picture/fax viewer is one of their best applications. Loads quickly, does its job well, very simple)

I almost live in Canada (in Maine, about a 15 minute drive away from NB)

And while this isn't totally on topic.. Damn I need A/C. I'm going to die.

Does anyone know of a fairly inexpensive (read: less than $500) AC unit that fits into a crank-out window?

Our apartment's got 3 huge bay windows.. all with crank-out windows on the side. I haven't found a useable AC unit that's affordable that doesn't require me to route plumbing and vent heat through a drier vent type hose.

    Suggestions would be very welcome.
