    F12 -> uncheck "Enable sound in Web pages"
    For good measure, uncheck "Enable GIF animation" as well.

    That's for Opera, there's probably a similar feature in Firefox

    You could have bought a "downrated" chip and overclocked it, too. The clock rate on the box is merely specification, the chip can remain operational at higher clock rates, the manufacturer just won't be responsible for what happens then.

    As you may know, the DS transmits its screen contents over some RF signal. Someone found the signal with his TV tuner. I think that's what Nintendo uses to display the DS screen contents on the TVs at expos. The proper approach would be to identify and reverse engineer that signal.

    Not all of them. Some expect you to grind (a lot) between battles and if you don't do that you have almost no chance at getting anything done. Granted, grinding isn't exactly difficult but I do find it very hard to continue such a game.

    A lot of 3rd party add-ons for video games live by reading the game's memory.

    Really? The only such app I've seen was a cheat program. Usually mods change the game's datafiles.

    I take it you have never tried buying violent videogames in Germany? In many cases you get horribly butchered versions (hell, in Alien Hominid they've replaced the blood with FLOWERS!) and sometimes the games aren't available at all (God Of War anyone?). Adults suffer from these restrictions.

    I think the "Life, liberty and security of person" bit (article 3) of the declaration of human rights already covers that, forcing implants would be forcing injury, which violates the security of person. Or do you mean an amendment that prevents congress from interfering?

    How do you know MS itself wasn't behind some of those top price auctions? Either to make a lot of money or just to make it look like there's huge demand (in the former case they'd be the seller, in the latter the buyer or both)?
