You have to actually do things on the web to get virus, key logging software, adware, spyware, worms, trojans, mailbots,...If you plug your computer in, get on the net and go to windows update page..you have no problems. Plus if you just download a copy of: Adaware or Spybot and a free trial of Tuneup Utilities2004(on cnet downloads) then you are good to go. I have never had a virus and my pc has been running for 3.5 years solid just with the use of these programs.

Around here, the Century theaters dont care if you bring in your own food and drink.Me and my wife, for movies that look good(chronicles of narnia, brothers grimm(yeah i know matt damon and heath ledger...oh well) we will go to grab some good food like real burritos or chinese food, get to the theater at matinee times, and relax...usually first showing is not that packed and we can get decent seats...during the commercials we just read our books or talk to each other...I really did wish, as a lot of other people said here, that they did start the previews at the time that is said by the media(websites, newspapers, moviefone)..but thats something you give up for the pleasure of watching the film. I do believe there will come a time when they will just push dvd sales on the same day as theater releases for films that they know will do well(large releases..lots of advertising)Hey we have to deal with commercials everyday to watch any of the shows or listen to any music from the radio out there..i think 10 minutes isnt that bad..at least they are not stopping the movie several times to show commercials
you are absolutely right. Why have the chance of jailtime anf big fines when you can pay 20 bucks from the store...what i miss the most is what used to be the dollar theaters. After 2-3 months films would go to them and for 2 dollars you can go and watch em..they didnt even care if you theater hopped..didnt matter..they were making money off refreshments..What i would also liek to see up here in sacramento is theaters carry real food(like chinese(get a panda express to open up small franchises in the theaters)) while nathans hotdogs are great...they just dont fill you up!
BTW i wanted to add this but couldnt stop in time..why work for a company that gives you no perks or bonuses when google gives everyone so much. I would love to have a company like google, that offers all thier employees those and more perks..and onsite MD, childcare, gourmet meals and snacks everyday..couple things i would change would be to have housing just for employees that they could rent from the company for minimal costs. If it is close you dont have angry "commuting workers" and you need for people in emergency is helped. For those who choose to live outside the company, give them a living allowance every month, give them perks such as use of rental equipment like boats, jetskis, uhaul equipment, exercise machines and that nature at reduced costs....And i bet you if I ever did this i would be called evil too
#1 thier salaries are not bad. Why can your company not compete with google's or yahoo's. How much does the person who owns your company make? The biigest problem with most companies is that they are thier to make thier CEO's rich, therefore they pay the rest of the workers crap. Think about that next time they can't give you that raise or can't hire that new guy on. This is why I love certainn CEO's that take no compensation or 1 dollar as compensation..it sets a good precedent throught the company.

If abortion and womans right to choose is still legal, why not use those fetuses to fuel research. Do not bring Religeon into this matter. This is for the benefit of mankind. How long until they provide other services..right now the are providing a long list of things free, such as gmail, websearch, maps and such..they do not make people pay for it which is great...yet in that state, the ipo'd and gain tons of money from the ipo..how those shares show the money back(as talked about earlier in these comments) we will not know until thier furture moves..i hope that google keeps up with the way ther are heading..
I hate to sound naive here, but with everything that google has done, they could have made so much more profit, but they havent. I believe that there are some good people left in this world who aren't only this to make themselves rich, and are basically here to only do good things. I believe what you see here is a new generation of philanthropists arising form the ashes of a burning corporate world.
