  2. Re:In other words on Pentagon Creating A Database Of Students · · Score: 0

Ok let me ask you one thing...how long ago were you in the military..according to a study done at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, 79% of basic families situations (with mother, father and child[where one parent is military and the other is elsewhile employed at a higher pay then the military) had to go onto welfare because the military pay was not enough.

You speak of numerous benefits..yet you only list one which is the VA home loan, of which there is a class action lawsuit because they are trying to get rid of the program(which includes removing the benefit from already signed contracts, of people who are serving in Iraq right now) I know when i tried to apply for the guaranteed home loan, of which I was legally entitled to by my contract, I was denied because I signed up for less then 4 years in the military(my enlistment was 2 years and 19 weeks). I know personally at least 20 veterans who have been screwed over by this benefit

Another side benefit that the military gives you is if you are injured while in the military, you are granted medical benefits. My right knee and both of my ankles were all injured(the specialists i have gone to say they are 35-40% dehabilitating) were considered 10% by the medical review board, and when i have to go see a military doctor about them, I have to drive 3.5 hours to get to one, with about a 2 1/2 month waiting period for appointments.

Look at all these people who sign up for contracts, to have them manditorily extended while they are in Iraq. How many companies do you think can pull this one without getting into trouble. I am sorry but when I signed the contract there was nothing in it about legthening my contract because Dubya wants to show he has the bigger dick in the world.

Letting the military collect this kind of information on kids and young adults is outrageous and an invasion into thier privacy. I know people who have gone to court for a restraining order from recruiters because they could not lead a normal life without the recruiter stalking them. Recruiters should only be allowed on scholl during job fairs. Other then that they have thier offices for anyone to walk in and visit. And stop with the federal financing being tied into the recruiting BS.

actually it costs the taxpayers a great deal if you really look at it. We pay for not only the politicians salry, but the judges who make the decisions, the appeals judges who overlook thier decisions, and all the way up the line. What i am saying is that we have other major problems to deal with besides fair use. Look at California with its record deficit. Look at social security, look at welfare, look at illegal aliens. Not saying this isnt a good fight and won that shouldnt be battled, but there is a time and a place for everything...Personally IMHO there are too many bought out politicians for this to ever get solved.

This should not be modded troll this should be modded insightful..We have mor epressing issues in this country besides fighting over this. One of the reasons the television agencies want fair use pulled is so instead of you taping the seasons of your favorite shows, they can sell it to you and make a hefty profit. How about these officials argue over something really necessary and stop skirting the real issues facing the welfare of this society

I didnt say that you personally did sell my email address but people who are falling into this advertising traps did. I created 6 new email accounts last night and logged onto this site. I created my account using email address #1, and used the 5 other email addresses for "referrals" within 2 hours here is the results. (BTW for those wanting to know these emails were set up with gmail) Primary Inbox: 298 spam Inbox A: 132 spam Inbox B: 248 spam Inbox C: 163 spam Inbox D: 443 spam Inbox E: 123 spam If you actually read the terms of agreement it says they reserve the right to send you offers from third party vendors and advertising. Not to mention the fact that not every one of those offers is "free" as they say, especially when you get to the third tier of offers such as the credit card which must be activated before you get credit. This is just a simple warning for all of you in hopes of getting something for nothing. There have been mutliple studies done on these kind of websites and I havent seen one where the person initiating the study has actually recieved the merchandise promised, even after fully completing the terms of the agreement. Maybe there is one out there and I would love to see it if it does exist..

Problem is with most things online theres no definite way to know who you are talking to. I dont want anyone emailing yahoo to have them take my photo's down because they don't like them.. Personally, IMHO they should have done as suggested before and suspend the account until all information had been recieved.
