I moved out of the city, where I used to walk 5+ km a day, just commuting. Now I am a car potato, or ride a motorbike when weather allows and no formal dressing is required.
Other thing: I seem to see a lot more fat people in small towns and the countryside, and right now visiting the US it seems the same here.

Yep, you are right about the teachers' salary thing, but maybe only in the US or Western-EU. However I live in Costa Rica, where these professions can leave you rather broke, unless you are willing to work a lot harden than average (meaning, a lot less for a lot more work then in the EU).
I also do not belittle myself, I have a good life and a somewhat OK job as a software engineer, I just bite quick when someone tells me things like "rich ass and cannot type", just bc I collected a bunch of tech-junk over the years. Especially because I really know some people who can barely spell, and make a fortune.

Besides: blind people rely a lot on their ears. Ears + guns=bad. Someone supervising+talking + ear protection = bad.

ps: I am mostly upset for my wife, I have very-very few things I would get ther, mostly expensive stuff, that is actually cheap on iTunes (like old unavailable electronic-music albums and such that go for $60+ on ebay)
Hmm, i guess they would have a hard time pursuing it.
Especially because you can rent copied movies in big fancy malls, and you can buy copied games in stores.
My point is: they needed a little effort to push themselves in, and they could even cut down on piracy. Instead, they just lost 2 customers: nor my wife nor me are buying any players or songs from them. Not now, not ever, and I know people who are upset the same way.
Then actually do not sell the them player at all, then I get a sandisk and buy my cds and not forced to look at all the things itunes has, but I cannot buy.

I walked into the local Mac store and asked for an iTunes card. I was told, that they are not ALLOWED to sell the cards here anymore.
Costa Rica is bad with piracy, but I know people who buy all their CDs, and they would all buy songs for
EVERYONE has a damn Ipod, still we are not allowed to buy songs. Not even on a "fraud safe" way, such as Paypal or the iTunes cards.

I in fact know a call center that specifically has the technology, to avoid the proposed Voice over IP law in Costa Rica. Usually law makers are shortsighted with technology, so there is always a way around.

:( ... whatever ... they are a pain to open unless you have a scissor, and yes, I cut my hand several times, trying to rip them oepn after several civilised attempts to open them.
I feel stupid every time, 200 lbs guy struggling with the stupid foil, than trying to pull the little nipple (or whatever that little hanging plastic is called), then trying to pull the cap, and it is just damn unhandy.
It makes me feel better, when I see grown-up adults doing the same thing in the office, kneeling on the floor, trying to get rid of the foil with their keys, or whatever tools they find
dunno, I just always end-up with an aching finger/nail, and I swear, I am a very technical person, with a lot of mechanic practice (like motorbike/bike/car/whatever else repair practice).

Yes I own a bunch of expensive crap, but they all serve my hyperactive lifestyle, and getting them leaves me pretty broke at the end.
And no, I am not collecting them to own them, but I am the kind of person who needs to do many different things, and do something all the time. That's how I end up with 3 all these things in a pile, and 0 on my account.
Yep, you are right about the teachers' salary thing, but maybe only in the US or Western-EU. However I live in Costa Rica, where these professions can leave you rather broke, unless you are willing to work a lot harden than average (meaning, a lot less for a lot more work then in the EU).
I also do not belittle myself, I have a good life and a somewhat OK job as a software engineer, I just bite quick when someone tells me things like "rich ass and cannot type", just bc I collected a bunch of tech-junk over the years. Especially because I really know some people who can barely spell, and make a fortune.
I do not know how you feel about it as a librarian, but sometimes (just for a minute) I wish I had so bad spelling and education, and so much cash to spend. It usually goes away though.
