Yes: Make an image of your Linux install and save it. Put Vista on the machine, and make them prove you ever had anything else on it.

No: Sue them, post it all over, blog it out, or try an other repair center

Do not forget to put some over-voltage carefully on all possible ports, then shorting the battery while fully charged. Hey you could also do it in your car which you will set on fire, and sue the company, the laptop maker for all the damages ..... yes the manager too, he should have seen that the crack was heat induced, and that it would lead to your house burning down .....

But wait, let's block everything related to a bomb. So first we have to block the whole periodic table, as most of the elements probably are contained in a bomb at the end.

Then can continue with keywords that will most likely be mentioned in the simplest instruction to do anything with any project as well:

container, metal, powder, wire, cable, liquid, chemicals, transport, cell phone, ignition, battery, timer, clock, remote ....

Oh wait, seems like the whole dictionary could be blocked then, so why not just have a keylogger on everyones computer, and put little animated bomb squad and police officers on the pages of google, wikipedia, how stuff works, or any page containing these dangerous terms that lead our society of blowing someone up. Do not forget your favourite paintball and airsoft (maybe include all water pistol makers too - the first step to shoot a man is to play violent games, such as shooting each other with waterpistols).

You know what. Reading stupidity like this just makes people worried. The sad thing is that it only limits people who are innocently interested in stuff, and it won't stop someone from finding out if they really need to blow someone up.

Oh yeah that stupidity won't stop anyone from putting up a proxy abroad and make searches through it. It will just encourage them to access it through an encrypted tunnel, so even the black boxes won't help. Why ? Because they block your ad not to see it. If they block it, they would not click on it in the first place, thus you would not make a revenue wether the ad is displayed or not.

+ you save bandwidth for yourself and the ad network serving the usually large and annoying flash ads.

Just for the record : i do not use ad blocking, but some ads on sites my wife visits drive me crazy. Her unattended browser would constantly pull large images from sites even when the browser is idle ..... just plain stupid ..... honestly i am not sure if the ads or the site content does that all the time, but I saw ads do that. Also the constant pinging of browsers with timed ajax req-s can have the same effect when you have 10+ sitting in tabs....
