Because for all of their flaws the Chinese actually behave like adults in the global community. They don't sponsor terrorism, they don't threaten freedom of navigation on the high seas and they don't have an openly racist high level politician that denies the right of one of his neighbors to exist.

That explains why the rest of the world think the US is hypocrite on deciding who gets the bomb and who not.

Do you realize that Europe is just as freaked out by the prospect of a nuclear armed Iran as the United States is? Actually it probably bothers them more; we aren't within range of Iranian missiles but most of Europe is.

Uhm, no. We are absolutely not freaked out. At least not more then with the Americans who have said they would use them as a first strike and who have also proven to attack countries when those countries disagree with whatever they should agree with, including Western European countries.

Perhaps they don't even WANT people to read reviews. What they most likely want is people to come into their stores and look there. Just like the good old days.

Sure, some would first compare at other stores, but the majority doesn't. They go into a store and buy what they need and perhaps even also what they think they want.

They specifically do not want people to compare prices and products. They want people to come in and buy. I am sure they are fully aware that they will scare some customers away. If they think they will come out positive in the end, they will do it.

Companies do not want everybody to be their customer. They only want those that makes them the most money with the least effort. Just like most people do.

The problem with the "decline" of manufacturing is that American workers are crazy productive.

Just like the European ones. And still it won't be enough because they are too expensive and we all want to buy at the lowest price.

That means producing at the lowest price. Why should I care if some 10 Asian kids are less productive then 1 American grown-up? As long as they are cheaper in the end, the American grown-up will buy the product.

Also a big part of this productive process is that a lot is automated. Just look at the supermarkets with the self-paying-lines. What I see here is that 1 person can handle 4 lines. That means higher productivity AND 3 others out of a job. All so you can save 2 cents on your frozen pizza that was made in another factory by 1 person pressing a button on a machine.

If printing is the only requirement, then there might be other options available. The printjob gives you a code that you enter at any printer.
Disadvantage is that you must wait for a print job. Not an issue if it is very few pages. Hell if it is several hundred.
Giving printers a location name might be better. Disadvantage there is that sometimes printers are moved and people cant find the printer they used as a default and the printer does not get a new name for its new location.

Because of this we had people who printed for several weeks at a printer in another country till they complained that we were using all their paper and toner, while we never came and picked up the printouts.

Also if all printers are the same, there is no issue. They seldom are. I use three different ones, depending on the volume and quality I need. Also the printer closest to me is not as easy to access as it is behind my manager. I am allowed to use it, but it is just inconvenient. And these are all pretty standard printers.

Just having a normal name and the name of the printer in big fat letters on it is technical enough for everybody to be able to answer the question "Hey, what is the name of this printer" so you can print on it.

One place had nametags from the ceiling like the ones you might see in a supermarket to tell you what product an isle has. They were visible from almost anywhere on the workfloor. Mind you: This is Europe, so no cubicles to block your sight,
