Vicki: So, what can I do for you, Harry? Harold Grisham: Okay... here's what I want. First... we both get naked. Vicki: So far so good. Harold Grisham: Except... we're both wearing sailor hats. Then we get into a jacuzzi filled with Pepto-Bismol, I clip your toenails, and you shave my buttocks. Vicki: What's that? Harold Grisham: Naked... jacuzzi... Pepto-Bismol... toenails... shave my buttocks. Vicki: Well, you have quite an imagination, Harry.
although i'm a huge fan of gaim, the ubuntu guys areravingabout another Jabber client. It's called Gajim
from the site:
Gajim is a Jabber client written in PyGTK. The goal of Gajim's developers is to provide a full featured and easy to use xmpp client for the GTK+ users. Gajim does not require GNOME to run, eventhough it exists with it nicely. Gajim is released under the GNU General Public License
for windows, & lots of linux distros including an auto-package...package.
WILL IT NEVER END?!... just kidding, this actually shows that I read too much slashdot.
Obligatory comments: 1. Proof that Japan is light-years ahead of US in tech -- This is also a comment dupe

this is INCREDIBLE. this is referring to the documentation. It's very complete, the only thing missing is how he hacked his verizon phone. this, lo behold, was in a previous slashdot story
I did a little research myself and it turns out that there is one project on sourceforge in prealpha for linux that's GPL'd. Maybe after my finals i'll help with some patches..
i see a way to use google maps API by continuously updating the source address when your GPS "address" changes and using the number of miles left until the next turn, and using EPOS to convert text to speech: turn right at upcoming ford street.
ps: this guy made me want to save up some cash and have one of my own
with xbox media center on your modded xbox, install this script ooba and then you get access to Comedy Central. Some other media (from the readme) you get access to is:
BBC streams, Comics (comics.com and ctrl+alt+del), , TVTome episode guides, Adult media (movies and images from 5 porn sites), Danish radio and TV (DR news, DR boogie, DR radio), RAI Click TV (italian TV streams), SVT TV open archive (Swedish), YLE24 Mediasaali (Finnish radio and TV), XBMC Forums reader (simple reader), History Channel, Movies @ archive.org (lots of movies in high quality), Online music labels (monotonik/mono211), Dave's trailer page
also google video gives you access to some fox newscasts.
my point is that you don't tivo for this.
ps: because of my xbox, i basically have The Daily Show with Jon Stewart tivo'd through the internet
This show definitely did it for me. He taught me more than just individual science projects; he taught me that "science is cool".
If were a kid today and watched his show, I definitely see a lot more of my time (as a kid) going on the internet to learn (howthingswork.com) rather than playing games and chatting on AIM (which is what I see a lot of kids do today).
If someone is piggybacking on your network, all of their traffic leads to your IP address. If they are hosting illegal music, the RIAA will get a subpeona for the IP carrying it... YOURS. You get the 4500 $ fine.
by telling you this, i may be saving you a lot of trouble by not being ignorant about your property. but then again, "why should i care?"
this may have been more than MS dipping their toes into Open Source. Although the obvious reason to open windows forms is to allow easier ($) development onto windows, they may just be testing what developers will do with the code. Was it added onto? did opening allow for free development (goodbye outsourcing)?
opening windows api also has spread development (see.net)
i see more open source in MS's future, but only to spread development for apps on windows.
i just feel,... like giving up. no one cares about torrents, no hosting server wants to set them up. bandwidth shamwidth, who cares?
even though debian may not be the latest & greatest, that does not mean that they have to be as traditional on their website as well..
Shouldn't this be placed in IT?
I wish we had more "Linux" articles, all the ones that make it usually end up on the front page. This is great but it's always a little surprise to see one hiding. Ok, I'm gonna go back to playing with my penguin.
or from rat race

Since it's a ram file, there's Real Player for Linux or even community based Helix

it's REALLY simple.. from there we moved onto C++.
not flaming, note author's question regarding to FIRST language...
here's some I DON'T recommend: Java, Prolog, or Scheme
German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), has told the Berliner Zeitung that internet users should switch from Internet Explorer to Mozilla or Opera. Dickopf says Internet Explorer is hazard-prone, attracting too many viruses and worms.
Finnish Gov't says "avoid use of Internet Explorer"
MS's IE blog says "we do not plan on releasing IE7 for Windows 2000" means no more security fixes for people without Windows XP or greater... which would lock out over 20% of the worlds population
man do i hate ie

how dare you speak against bruce perens That's Bruce PERENS! Are you MAD, man?
so that leaves the majority to fault of consumers... this makes both parties suspicious

thanks for this.. i was referring to how many whom were sued opted out of court and paid the the "opt out" fee

mine too, did you perhaps go to Rutgers Univ. in NJ?
:o(
same exact thing.. funny thing was i'd have people switch over to linux as an incentive... usually windows would follow though.
is the patent for applying for a patent when it's rejected still available? i could make MILLIONS! mUWHAAHHA
am i the only idiot that instinctively clicked... saw it didn't work, and clicked 3 more times before... laughing?
maybe US control of these 5 spots in space, extremizing a function wouldn't be so difficult for students in the states
clearly the parent is bias by showing his interpretation of his bias definition of bias
