If everyone releases content on a copy protected medium, and nobody releases content on an unprotected medium, that doesn't mean that consumers will buy nothing. People will buy the only thing that is available. It might suck, but that's the way it is.
Well, as true as that may be, Sony has commanded that all games released for the platform must support 1080p as their default resolution. (Review the press conference video).
...alot of cross-eyed googlers once google gets their hands on the data:)
But really, this is very cool - I'm looking forward to seeing some of the data.
Of all the MMORPGs I have played (I guess it's not that many), none strictly required you to use your mouse for movement. They all had keyboard controls, and you could customize it to use the standard WADS for movement, and usually had some sort of camera control with the mouse.
...you covered all of the points that came to mind about the game and some others that hadn't. I'm currently enjoying the game in short (1-2 hours at a time) sessions, and I find that it's great to be able to play with such a small time commitment and still advance. My previous MMORPG experiences "required" me to invest so much more time to advance that it felt like I was never advancing at all. Anyway, enjoy the game:)
The sound quality is considerably better than the WM or RM streams ever were, I can use my favorite media player (WinAMP, even suggested by CBC), and I can reduce the number of times I have to load up WMP yet another time. Kudos to CBC for doing something right.
It's highly speculated that you will be able to place MPEG4 video onto a memory stick to playback on the system. (And by not accessing the UMD while playing on memory stick, battery life would likely be extended past the 4-5 hours for video that was mentioned.)

And at least when you get killed repeatedly in WoW you can go right back to where you died and do it again and again without a drastic penalty :)

Because the HiMD format has writers avaialble? Game piracy?
Movie is already stated to allow for 4-5 hours of battery life, obviously with the drive constantly spinning.

...raping you a little less.
