Certain people are *far* more prone to affect by social triggers (such as bullying) than others. People who lead otherwise perfectly happy lives can easily become suicidal over constant bullying.
And while that is sad for them, you cannot punish people for happening to trigger this, especially if it is impossible for them to have determined it.
Look up DejaMenu if you want the OS X application menu to appear wherever your mouse is, and Witch if you want to cycle through minimized windows (not that I recommend minimizing very much).
rather than hundreds/thousands that definitely don't.
But those people aren't my problem. They can be vulnerable to as many security holes as they like, and it won't affect me as much if I properly protect my system. Meanwhile, if the "cloud," which would be a big target, is victim to some sort of virus, then everyone, including those who would've otherwise set up their own secure systems, is compromised.
Or, you could use instant messaging. There are plenty of multichat clients, depending on your OS, that can handle AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Jabber, ICQ, etc. Just leave your client of choice up and running.
No such luck. ALL MUSIC has licensing fees paid to SoundExchange. Even if you made your own music and broadcast it, you'd have to pay SoundExchange, then somehow get the licensing profits from them. Hooray America!
Unfortunately, they can't. When I went to the Porn-or-Corn Shop, I was quick to learn that the or was an exclusive or and was only allowed to purchase one of the aforementioned products.

Amazing how everyone can agree that in the last decades pretty much all public values and personal virtues degrading.
Really? Everyone?
Amazing how it all coincides with abandonment of the Christian religion and its morals.
Those darned kids and their atheism/jazz/rock music!
The above proves that people are becoming more and more dumbed down, not wanting substance, but wanting feel-good nonsense.
Because in the past, the media was totally honest and unbiased, right?
Just because they're better at their presentation now, doesn't mean that they weren't trying before.
I don't care what those b*ds do and don't.
Hey now, this is SlashDot! We're free to say BSD here.

This is why you never tell anyone, not even your significant other, your root password.
I would actually love to have a chess set that really feels like mine...
Hmm... A chess set with my (your) face on every piece... now that could be worth the money!
I'm sure they could train some one to sign "FIRE FREE FREEDOM FLAMES" over and over again really really quickly.
You could have a work chatroom. Most IM clients support that, and you'd get instantaneous responses.
Well, those puppies had to grow up eventually. After awhile, we'll be kicking dog corpses.

I really can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not, but the U.S. isn't a member of the E.U. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Members_of_the_EU
if America were to leave the EU ?
Wait, what? I must be REALLY behind on current events.
And that means no universities which receive federeal funding (which is all universities in the US if I recall correctly) can research it.
More likely Bob Barr of the Libertarian Party will see a vast increase in votes.
I think most people will give a higher priority to issues they care about rather than the superficial fluff.
You must be the least cynical person in the world...
Where's the fun in that? When punching someone in the face becomes part of your work, it just takes all the fun out of it!
Not allowed to end a sentence with a preposition!? To quote Winston Churchill, that is the sort of bloody nonsense up with which I will not put!
I'm sorry your honor, I only punched fourteen people in the face after taking their money. That's such a tiny percentage of the population.

Because Linux isn't the answer to everything.
What?! Surely you jest!
Yes, those assholes with their FREE TIME to PURSUE INTERESTS! They should just be miserable drones instead!
If that's Unix_history-simple.svg (which it is), I'd hate to see Unix_history-complex.svg.
