The Publisher did some googling and found on google website that had "no problem allowing other e-book websites to illegally offer a number of our e-book titles, either free or at reduced rates, to anyone on the Internet." So he sent google a strongly worded email saying they should really do a better job. Google said: "Google has no responsibility and that it is up to us to contact these sites to tell them to stop giving away or selling our titles."

The story is that there is a stupid person on the internet.

Car analogy is close, bullet is not. Say i have two 9mm guns, same make, same model. The ONLY way to know what it was fired from is to have the suspected gun fire another bullet from the same gun. Many guns use the same barrel, same rifling, etc. Only the super small scratches are unique to each gun.

Further more, this article should be on no concern to anyone. Exif data should also not be a concern. Shelf life of cameras arent 18 months. Shelf life of camera phones are 24 months (with USA plans anywho) and most on the fly shots are now done with camera phones. How many hundreds of thousands of people have iphones? Millions of canon Digital rebel cameras are still sold.

And how the heck would the figure out where the camera was purchased from? All they can tell is that X brand camera took this picture. This is like the fools who found two teeth from some old monkey and made up an entire family story for some neanderthal.

  20. Re:Do It. on Pickens Plans On Wind Power · · Score: 0
Its not simple. There is no infrastructure in the US to put this in on a large scale. There is already an infrastructure for oil. You cannot just "run cars on electricity" or run everything off electricity. Not everything can be just plugged in. Furthermore, there are no kits and conversions to do this that are widely available, or even cost effective. If you buy a hybrid car you don't even save money at this point.

Once we have the _ability_ to do so, we will. Right now, we have none. It doesn't matter if we should, its the fact we don't.

As well, we once we start distancing ourselves from the middle east and their oil, they wont be pleased. We do not have the coordination, drive, or will-power to start a massive reorganization of what the united states runs on.
