  2. ECHELON on VoIP Wiretapping · · Score: 0
I'm pretty sure this will be implemented into ECHELON since they already collect regular telephone calls and faxes. Depsite the fact the goverment "denies" we have it.

Though, I just don't like the backdoor being required, it's just creepy. I mean I don't mind if you bug my regular phone because the box is on the outside of the house and it's not my responbility (according the the phone book, depsite the customer acess panel). However, if there's gonna be a backdoor what stops them from adding their own "spyware" which truly spies and gives it back to the feds. I'd rather have them intercept it, I mean sure they can overhear it but at least they not using a mandatory backdoor.

I mean who knows, what if someone finds these backdoors and then starts using it to tap my conversations and then use them to blackmail me If I saying something or grab my credit card number. They exploitive potential of these backdoors in my opinion is enormous. I just don't like it.

But hey, that's they post-9/11 world for ya.

Same here, but with the PATRIOT Act. The federal, state or local goverment can do whatever they want to do. They don't need a search warrant to search your house anymore, so I'm guessing the same goes wiretapping.

According to Wikipedia, IPv4 is going to be around until 2025 at least so bugs can be sorted out.

    That's 20 years from now.

Not only that, IPv4 only supports 4bil addresses. Sooner or later they're gonna start to dwindle and more and more everyone will start to realize that IPv6 needs to be implemented.

I expect to see maybe some more IPv6 addresses pop up by 2010. Then increase in amount maybe around a 10000 by 2015 and about around maybe 100,000 in 2020. By that's just my prediction

Maybe Sony should have marketed this idea. Browse the web on your PSP! Although yeah, it sucks though, there's no scrollbars or no way to enter the site name. So unless you can scroll somehow, I expect to see clipped webpages formatted for the PSP.

I was at WAL*MART on Friday and I was hanging out in the electronics section for the hell of it, I compeletly forget it was 0day for the PSP. Then I saw one of the boxes in the PS2 games cabinet, just one. Then I wonder why there wasn't a flood of people swamping the place because it's Good Friday so no one had school. Then again, I haven't seen any commericals for the PSP so people know it's come out but have forgotten. So until, Sony airs a PSP commerical, they better expect lukewarm US sales.
