Granted, the frustration caused by not being able to play offline, because the online authentication server was down wouldn't arise with WoW. Still, steam would have introduced an other point of failure and whats worse: one that comes before the gameworld.
Also: WoW shipped on DvD, if I recall correctly. I don't like to download this much, especially if the whole civilized world tries to download at the exact same moment;)

While using the same economic policies and more importantly policy goals, unlike pure (state) socialism, it restricts the number of 'eligable people' by race and strongly focuses on nationalistic ideals/symbol. What if the game isn't playable on the minimum spec setup like it said on the box (yeah right!). What if the CD key is rendered unreadable in the manual? All of the above things happened to me, btw. I just wonder: how is a replacement copy going to fix the problem?

you might want to install a spell checker. I think you accidently hit Shift+4 isnstead of 's'. It's a common mistake though, no worries.
