    It's how you run them.

    To get pure plutonium suitable for bombs you run them balls out for a short period, then reprocess the fuel.

    When run for power, you end up with a mix of plutonium isotopes. Which puts you back where you started with Uranium. Doing isotope separation.

    This was about countering Iran. Machiavellian trick to get a concession from them, or alternatively maintain the Shia/Sunni stalemate in the face of Iran's inevitable nuke.

    This is of course applicable to 'conventional' enriched uranium fueled nukes.

    My understanding is that Saudi owns a couple of nukes, but they have them stored in Pakistan, for political reasons. Not unlike Japan, who has them, but hasn't done the final assembly.

    What kind of unelectrified hell hole do you live in? Seriously, nobody's fool enough to let the government be the power company.

    In the USA, airports make money, roads are paid for by fuel taxes. Pretty hard to avoid, but all for it. Running race fuel on the street isn't about avoiding taxes though.

    The term you are looking for is 'poison the well'. Good idea, more people need to do it.

  14. In India you get to pay a bribe for the privilege of paying a fee. These 'jobs' are handed down, from father to son.

    Like being a cop in Mexico. The job doesn't pay a salary, it has a yearly cost. Overhead that must be covered.

    Almost any small business will discount a sale by in the neighborhood of half their marginal tax rate.

    Yes on the full transaction, not the profit. Because the payment disappears into the owners pocket, but the cost remains.

    It's an obligation. Starve the beast every chance you get.

    You can do even better hiring tradesmen directly. But be careful, IMHO 75% of tradesmen are hacks. But that's true no matter how much you pay. Never pay them until the work is done.

    Always specify business class for flights over 4 hours, during salary/contract negotiations. Don't move on that point, negotiate elsewhere.

    Not only does it get you better seats, it puts you at the end of the list for being used as a road warrior.

    It takes long enough that the previous owner/renter can have a junk building (nail house) erected just so he gets paid more.

    Which fucks over those who actually developed their property and wastes resources. But it's the only way they can 'win', losing the property being a forgone conclusion.
