    All about the exchange rate.

    At this stage there is just bluster and talk of trade wars. In the end, the only real change will be China will move the peg a little more. The exchange rate won't be allowed to float.

    Hasn't been true in a long time.

    Now the long term/cheap option is painted steel shingle (which can look a lot like slate). Do you know how much stronger a roof has to be to hold ceramic tile? (I've seen one retrofit incorrectly, looked like a very old horse's back a few years after construction was complete).

    Even there it's debateable. Present value calculations etc. Composite shingle being selected in America vs Britain is colored by the fact that Mexican roofers are cheaper than Polish ones.

    'Society' is lucky to actually 'invest'* 1%. The difference in disease rates is a part of why societies/cultures with latitudes above the winter 'frost line' had resources to play with. They still squandered them on cathedrals more often than not.

    * Things like school buildings, city walls, field clearing and literal swamp draining. As opposed to things like education and farming, which are ongoing expenses.

    Flying wings have poor yaw control. At landing it's near stall speed. Little side wind, drone yaws, inside wingtip stalls, roll, smash. Long wingspans makes it worse.

    Restarting the sunni/shia war was the smartest thing Bush did.

    Of course he couldn't discuss the plan openly. But it was SOP. Bush's state department was mostly the same people that maintained the stalemate in the Iran/Iraq war.

    The sunnis and shia have been fighting for about 1200 years. Good war!

    Hillary is guilty of a number of security violations not requiring intent. Obama will pardon her to prevent embarrassment to his justice department.

    He will pardon Hillary so his part in the whitewash isn't exposed.

    That's the beauty of a blanket pardon. They don't even have to discuss all the things she did, she gets a pass on all of them.

    IMHO the Clintons have some serious dirt on some big wigs in the RNC, or they would have been in deep shit 16 years ago. The only question: Has the expiration date on the RNC dirt passed?
