This guy was elected. Pretty much means a lot of people were impressed with this guy. What's worse, the naive politician or the people that elected him?
No, never. I was a fan before Lars became a raging idiot. I didn't much care for their newer albums anyway. I'll never buy a cd of theirs again or pay to download their music. I will probably download their cd as a torrent and seed it until it falls off the edge of the internet though.
It's interresting how NiN and Radiohead do something as a statement and when Metallica decides to do it, it's just a money grab from a bunch of rich ex-head bangers who want to make a quick buck.
Wow. Sure looks like the RIAA has you people bent over and taking whatever they are willing to give. I was shocked to see so many ambiguous posts on this one. I was expecting to see the majority of people standing up and saying "about time". I hope you people are happy when you wake up and find that the RIAA owns every sound you hear, and every word you sing.
I agree 100%.
Every game has it's flaws. If the way the game has changed bothers people so much I wish they would stop whining about it and leave. I'm sure one of the next few MMO's will serve them better. Well, probably not. From my experience, people that whine about one thing publicly whine about a lot of things.
I personally love this game. I can't imagine a world without WoW.
Ok, so they do a study and find that consumers are generally oblivious. Fine. The fact that they've been slashdotted means they're letting us know we're oblivious, but what are they doing to educate us? Do they point us toward some ways to help us shop safer? Doesn't look like it.
'Is evolution well-supported by evidence and widely accepted within the scientific community?', some 48% of Americans said 'No'. Furthermore, 34% of college graduates said they accept the Biblical story of creation as fact. An alarmingly high number of individuals responded that they believe the earth is only 10,000 years old, and that a deity created our species in its present form at the start of that period.
I love studies that state "48% of Americans". Was that 48% of Americans from the Deep South? Maybe 48% of Americans with no formal education? Yeah, I didn't read the article but I don't generally have a lot of faith in studies that generalize an entire country's opinion on anything.
And we wonder why 48% of Canadians think Americans are a little off.
This is the first time anyone ever wrote about this.
It's been my experience that whenever anyone uses definitives on the internet they are allways wrong. It's a proven fact.
Half my coworkers would fail a Turing test.
Why isn't everyone asking for this? I mean, every cell phone on the planet has a camera except the iphone. WTF.

Sounds to me like a crappy programmer blaming static to hide crappy programming. Shocking!

'nuff said.
And cancer is the message getting pissed off that we haven't received it yet. Kinda like call waiting. Maybe it's an urgent message?
