    I agree wholeheartedly: I think the most important aspect of "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" was the Mercer-religion, yet it was completely omitted from the film, we miss a whole aspect of Decard's character, his empathy for his victims.

    It's a software that lets you do things to your mobile phone. By not providing it or equivalent for linux (or any other platform than windows) or at least the neccessery information to access your data in your phone, Nokia stupidly gives the finger to it's paying customers.

I also now that the relatives of _real_ braindeads will see this development as a sign of hope, even when there is no hope (and also, given the now demonstrated ability of the brain of rewiring itself, how can we say in any case that there's no hope?), so they will insist on keeping the patiens alive.

    Do you really think it's a problem? First, you can recognize your peer's voice. As for the man in the middle, for realtime, voice conversation, the delay would be too big to go undetected.

    Actually, the problem could be solved if we really treated the corps as real people. In that case, most of them have been shut down a long time ago and the executives jailed: for fraud, tax fraud and other crimes.

      Windows is often easily available at no cost because it's included with most computers.

      Lots of people already know Windows, and are productive in ways that you probably can't imagine.
     
    I usually watch them closely. Very enlightening.

      The computer's a tool... It's all in what you do with it, not how you set it up with your uber cool KDE screensaver that you compiled from scratch.

    very bad trend on /. in deed. Nowaday we have /. authors who can get away with implying that any sane /.-er actually uses windows. CmdrTaco, have an author meeting and set this straith, or many of your supporters will leave!
