In Hatha Yoga you have the rule of always staying slightly below your limit. Otherwise the muscle gets hard. If you always stay below your limits you gain much more flexibility. I guess, what they call stretching is going to the limits immediately.
I started doing Hatha Yoga last year and do it on a daily base since then. The good thing is, you can do it whereever you are. All you need, is some space and a towel. It might not be cool, but i think 5000 years of development should give you a almost bug free exercise.
It's interesting how different the reactions of Slashdot users to the the readers of Wired are. Most of the Slashdot readers seem to aggree, that publishing private info sucks, regardless how you go your hands on it. On the other side the Wired commentars mostly seem to fly the puritan flag - who is married, is not allowed to contact other women. Personally, in a world full of possibilities, i'd never restrict myself or others to "the only way to live your live (tm)". Live is too short for a thinking like that.
I tried an imac. It broke and repairing it was more expensive than a new one. So much for reliability of hardware. I tried a pro book running xp - maybe this works for people who just look at xp, but if you actually try to work with it, forget about it. Apple simply lies. Very successful marvelously.
Automatically downloading sounds which fit my "profile"? A 12 years old girl has "gimme-that-song-i-want-to-hear-it-all-day-long" profile, but it's hard to imagine, that a computer will ever understand what i like about Pantera, Berlioz and Aphex Twin at the same time. I'm afraid it can easily be misused to create a synchronized group of consumers.
Hm, doesn't ubuntu include the latest developments in font rendering technology? Could the difference in quality stem from the fact that the system have two different graphic cards? (monitors are the same)
As a programmer, i'd really like to switch to an open source environment. As a strategy to switch, I tried to use a two screen, two computer setup using synergy (synergy2.sourceforge.net), Ubuntu and my old WinXP2.
Synergy worked great and gave me the perfect illusion of a two screen computer. But font rendering on linux sucked. Even after installing some msfonts, the fonts on linux looked so different, that my eyes and my brain tilted and gave me a major headache.
I'm not sure about the reason. Maybe some patents are in the way of perfect text on linux. If anybody knows, how i can come around this limitation of linux, i'd be more than happy to know.
Cheers,
Ralf.

Why is this posting considered informative? It sounds like FUD to me. ActionScript has come a long way. It is much more like Java and C# these days.

I think it, is a very disrespectful behaviour of Google, to do what they have done. But maybe that's because i'm from the old part of the world.

I really wanted to give emacs a try, but it doesn't seem to be possible to edit utf-8 content, so i stick with eclipse.

java is more like a jackhammer than a dental drill. It surely has its places but its not fun to use.
