Truth is, we're not getting any carbon dioxide in the atmosphere that has never been there before. IF carbon dioxide is heating up the planet, it's not going to be warmer than what we once had.
Might be true, except as our star ages it gets more luminous by about 10% every billion years. Having the same CO2 concentration as at a time in the distant past would certainly make it warmer now due to this.
I'm a bit cynical about the Obama Administration willingly giving up powers it has been given in the long run. But I'm not ready to say this motion represents the will of the Administration yet.
The author of the piece, ACTING Assistant Attorney General Michael F. Hertz, is a leftover from the Bush administration and is due to be replaced once his successor is confirmed.
E-radio stations are charged per song they play. That price is based on number of listeners.
I think that will be the idiocy that finally brings down the music labels. Radio play is essentially free advertising for bands, and when good bands start abandoning the labels and offer their music to radio for free the radio stations are going to stop playing the music label music.
Education in this country is being ruined by everyone with an agenda. Look at the history books that refuse to mention Reagan when addressing the cold war.
Your post is an excellent example of someone with an agenda - and kudos to keeping it on topic by bringing up a modern day religious icon.
That probably wouldn't be good. The salt would be distributed evenly through the chip instead of on the surface where more comes in contact with our taste buds like current chips. To get the same "flavor" of saltiness, the amount of salt would have to be several times higher and we have too much salt in out diets as it is.
There are lots of political sites, but my site OurCampaigns is a bit different than anything out there.
It is custom programmed and is a structured international view of politics at allows user contribution. Lot of current and historical race result data, going back hundreds of years. High level to local level. Right now a half million political races. News items, endorsements, candidate information, party information.
No, the only way this would work is if the customer doesn't have to buy a $200 hardware device, but can rent the box for, say, $15 month or so. Amortize the box costs like cell phone companies do.
Of course, all of that was addressed in the article. They wouldn't be free (as buses aren't free), they would require a credit card which would act as both payment and deposit. Furthermore, they would have GPS tracking systems and would get their power from a shared grid, which would render them useless off the grid.
Some strains of biodiesel-capable algae are salt-tolerant - I think that's a key for biofuels. There's plenty of saltwater on the planet, just not so much fresh water.
The article's weed is primarily an oil source, not an ethanol source. They are two different types of bio fuels.
Though most ethanols - including corn - aren't a net loss either. That idea was from a 1970s study that has been completely eclipsed by efficiency improvements but keeps getting spread around to serve one person or another's agenda. However, corn is a remarkably inefficient ethanol source in comparison to others and oil-based sources tend to do even better than ethanol sources.
Assuming the cosmological theories are sound; the only way to even theorize about human life continuing perpetually requires going back to "magic wands" like dimension-hopping or something.
Also assuming that an advanced human society doesn't figure out how to replicate the big bang. Although you can consider that a "magic wand", we know that it is a cosmologically sound theory at this time, since that IS our theory.
If Blizzard conforms to recent form, no there won't be a Mac version.
There will be one version that works on both Mac and PC. Buy the game and you're set either way.
As someone who uses both, Blizzard has my undying praise for not making me buy two different copies. I will buy every non-MMS the company makes for this alone. (Not to mention that make awesome RTS games.)
Considering that according to surveys most people who own an iPod have filled up their storage space on it with compressed music, I'd say storage still is a big issue.

I don't know about you, but I'd certainly care if my left butt cheek collapsed.
Except those 90 seconds.
In which you will be eaten by a grue.
You should still be fine if you don't move more than once during those 90 seconds. You have to move twice in the dark to get eaten by a grue.
Hell, we could have pre-salted potato chips!
That probably wouldn't be good. The salt would be distributed evenly through the chip instead of on the surface where more comes in contact with our taste buds like current chips. Yeah, that's an old one that has been completely debunked. http://www.slate.com/id/2186786/

Could it have anything to do with frame dragging? That would explain differences based on symmetry to the equator.
Awww. And I was expecting schrapnel.

What would terrorists do with information about a nuclear accident we have had in the past?
The Voyager probes that were launched in the 70's are barely making it to the edge of the solar system.. These would have to go much, much further.

The one under the English Channel is underground, and it's probably the most comparable to this one.
On the other hand, the Mars thing has a very strong alternative explanation.

The Wii's parental controls include the ability to restrict access to the Internet Channel unless you know the parental password.
PVR Support? Where would they store the data? Even a 2GB card wouldn't hold a whole movie. Maybe if it supported an external USB drive...
