Of course CNN's main page is covered with HURRICANE SEASON EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN BE AFRAID EVEN IF THERE IS NO HURRICANE ANYWHERE NEAR HOW (ok so that's how I interpret the way they are presenting it) and remembering, honouring, mourning, etc September 11th stuff.
If this cratar was big enough for satellites to see, I have no idea why major news corporations in the US aren't going "LOOK AT THIS".

I know JPG is lossy, but large portions of the same colour will stay the same. The colours just didn't match, even if I made the JPG with the least amount of compression possible.
With GIF if I make a pixel in the image #0000ff I am *GUARANTEED* that it will match a DIV with a BACKGROUND-COLOR set to the same hex value.
I've tried to do this with JPG myself that it didn't work in all cases, I usually have to use a 1x1 JPG of the colour for the background instead of just setting a colour...
As the other posters have said, what package are you using to output PNGs? Sounds like their output is broken if you are having gamma issues (which means you're most likely using Photoshop, and it does have broken support for some of PNG's features)
I'd be nice to use this as a video codec, I know mplayer has support for MPNG but I'd love to see a DirectShow version so I could use VirtualDub with it, lossless video would be great for video editing...
(I might just end up writing a Directshow codec for MPNG, but DirectShow is such a COM/DX piece of crap I'd rather not have to figure out how to make it work)
You should be aware that those aren't flaws in PNG, they are flaws in IE.
PNGs can store their gamma, and I've never seen JPGs or GIFs look the same from one OS to another either...
I'm sure you lost so much money charging people to repair infected machines.
The IT industry can benefits from viruses, however those who admin large networks and get hit SHOULD NOT BE IN AN ADMIN POSITION.
Blaster was and is an easily avoidable virus to catch and remove!

I know abuot HuffYUV, but I have a thing for PNG.
1x1 jpgs are pretty damn small, I don't see what I'd gain going to 8x8.... 310 bytes is the average size 8x8 is 350 bytes. Whoopdie do.
