You're an asshole. If you gave a fuck about your kids you wouldn't be pissed at him for doing what he enjoyed, instead you get annoyed because GASP he has a hobby. Next time you look at him playing games just think "He's not drinking, smoking crack or knocking girls up". Maybe "silly video games" arn't quite the devil.

If this does all goto hell then the entire eco system will change. Storms will be 10 times worse, the heat will be deadly.. Does it matter if we drown, die in a storm or heat stroke? Either way they'll end up killing people for more money. Something I personally find sickening..

Some people's minds are warped and a game in the hands of one of them may just be the trigger. Of course that trigger could also be a book, or a toy gun or a movie/TV show.

The "violent games don't make violent people" thing has been over a hundred times, but then fire doesn't make pyros.. they just get influenced by it. I think a study needs to be done where deranged kids are given books, movies and games and see which "screws them up the most".

I've played violent games, read violent books and watched 18+ films since I was like 7 or 8 and I'm not violent and such. Hence I'm on the same side as you, but we need a proper study to go "oi look now STFU!"

The reason they're the leading product is the average person trusts them, the average person has no idea what star office is and won't care. No matter how well behaved a kid is once in a while they will have a hissy fit. That's pretty much natural and they grow out of it (if the parents have a clue).

It's when them hissy fits don't stop we get the problems. Parents buy the latest fad to keep their kids from being assholes instead of learning to tell them no.

I guess as a kid I was rather spoilt (Got most of what I wanted), but as long as I can remember I've always been what most would consider polite and a gentleman (holding doors, saying good morning to neighbours and helping out if I can at all).

So maybe it's not a problem that the kids are being kids. Maybe it's a problem that society has just given up and decided work > life. After all why bother to raise your kids if you only see them for an hour ro so a day?

Get up for work, send kids to school, work, get home, cook meal, watch TV while Timmy plays GTA:SA, tell Timmy to sleep, sleep, get...
