"Wearables won't break through until they can work without a phone, partnership chief Glenn Lurie said" -- Yes, I want to replace my old school Casio Data Bank 150 calculator watch ASAP! I do not want to use a mobile phone with the watch. I still want basic features like long battery life, scheduler, phone directory, calculator, alarms, etc.
I can't even get fast speeds on dial-up since they connect from 24000-31200 even on 56k modems.:( Also, no DSL because COs are too far (over 20K ft.).:(
I like to use them for password protections if I forgot to manually lock my machine. I hate waiting for my monitor to come back when it sleeps if I am only going for a short time.
... But cable companies still have monopolies for the cities. We do need competition between cable companies like in my area. I can't get DSL, FIOS, etc. I can get dial-up, satellite, etc. but why when cable is affordable and fast. They can be faster and cheaper with competitions!:(
Well, I am not an engineer. I do SQA test though! I'd like a smartwatch that doesn't require a phone and is like a PDA watch. I still wear an old school Casio Data Bank (DB) 150 watch that does schedule (very important), times, phone books (address books would be nice too), alarms, calculator, etc.
Over a decade ago, I went to my childhood's local mall. It used to be Time Out with arcades. There is a larger arcade area, but with newer games and expensive.:(
I still wear an old school Casio DataBank (150 model) watch. I do not use mobile phones. I'd like a smartwatch to replace my old watch since it is difficult/hard to find another one. I do not want to buy a phone. I just want simple features like scheduler, times, address book, etc. Nothing fancy. I have disabilities so I can't hold mobile devices well. Watches are perfect. They cannot be big and heavy since I have thin arms and other issues with my old weird body.:( Anyways, it seems like the current and upcoming smartwatches won't meet my needs.:(
More like maybe!

And the crappy CBS show it is based on.

Funny. I put 6:40 AM for my wake up alarm and say that's enough sleep for me. ;)
Or do all of those. Burying without destroying it? LOL.
And they can be standalone without a phone. I want it to replace my old school Casio Data Bank 150 watch!
Haha, it's bad for slow Internet speed users like dial-up. ;)

Yeah, and it is a very bad idea to use e-mails for huge attachments too.
Only for work stuff. Also, they are useful and I don't socialize a lot in person due to my impediments and disabilities. :(
See, I hate those autoremember and autocomplete features. I disable those. Argh.
I assume they don't encrypt their e-mails. What if they do encrypt their e-mails? Then, that would be OK.

Nah, I am just not a developer/engineering. I do like to break things though!

Or in your big pockets, (bag/purse)s, etc.

And the new file system (aka WinFS)?
Where != were.
Like Elite Dangerous? :P
Yeah, hence why the difficulities. Too bad they don't carry that 310 model anymore. :(
