It is confusing, isn't it? Basically, only in a clean-room hypothetical, would 90% of voters choose a third party. In the real world, third party candidates either don't get very much media attention for potential voters to care or are considered a bit too extreme.
The theory that a vote for Nader/Badnarik is a vote for Bush stems from the idea that people who vote for change are probably voting for Kerry and not for Bush. So, by voting for a third-party, you're effectively taking a vote away from Kerry.

I await the day when they add the ability for the robot dogs to sniff each other's power supply when they meet.
It should be noted that the current ban on stem-cell research actually only prevents funding research on the topic. Has anybody else seen that piece on 60 Minutes about the Howard Hughes research center that has been able to research it anyway because of its massive private funding?
That said, I'm still against the blocking of research funds. More eyes can be useful on this subejct, obviously.
Now we have a choice between two irritating formats (from the perspective of other users, not necessarily myself). Great, now we need a new Slashdot poll: "Which file format boils your blood the most?"

You got modded funny, but seriously, even the most foofoo drinks out there that people describe as, "you can't even taste the alcohol in it" taste like Windex to me.
(Not that I know what Windex tastes like, just using it in the same way somebody would say, "This tastes like shit!" Doesn't necessarily imply they ate feces earlier for reference.)
no, you speak for the normal people. The intelligent people are asking "but what negative effects cancel out the positive ones?"
I guess it's a good thing I don't regularly eat eggs, chocolate, or drink alcohol, and this is just out of habit, not based on contradictory studies that are released biweekly.
Similar idea as Captain Novolin, except with elephants, made by the same people who brought you the fine game called Bronkie, which is about a Dinosaur with asthma.
I guess it beats moving to Japan to solve the issue. One of the things I noticed on the first morning here is how ridiculously early the sun rises. In the summer, it starts getting light around 4:00 AM and doesn't get dark until about 8:00 PM. I guess part of it is that where I am is about the same latitude at Maine, but also because the time zone is ridiculously wide (we share it with Korea) and I'm on the eastern extreme of it.
This was in a 60s Popular Science/Mechanics "Wave of the Future" movie, but I've never heard of one actually for sale.
It couldn't be. I remember seeing these things installed on some PBS home improvement show about ten years ago...Home Time w/Dean Johnson, I think. As for fragile, it doesn't have to be behind a thin layer of plastic since glare isn't an issue, although the glass needs to be pretty thick to prevent so much as a strong wind from cracking the cells.
I almost do want version 1. I remember being kinda disappointed back in 1997ish that the load time pretty much doubled for Winamp in the version 2 jump.
Yeah, because a player with a minibrowser, video playback, and a 30 MB footprint is so much better. Nullsoft should really continue to develop Winamp 2 again.

I actually test installed 9.0 a few days ago. Instead of one 40 MB process, there's four or five 9 MB processes for just one instance of MusicMatch Jukebox. That and the 5 seconds it takes to load is enough to discredit it being a lean, mean app.

Aww...you left out the part with Ross Perot punching a hole through his campaign hat.
...and prepare for another 4 years of Bush if one decides to vote third party.

Anybody who trusts John Travolta for help making decisions regarding their conversion to Scientology, cannot be pro-sanity.
Yeah, too bad we're stuck with only two candidates. I'd rather see this question asked:
Interviewer: "Can either you, President Bush, or you, Senator Kerry, describe to us how your views differ on corporate elitism?"
(Tumbleweed rolls by)
In that case, prepare to loose karma.

Damn, it looks like it's going to be a while before I overcome my fear of triangles.
I find it curious that nobody has mentioned Packy & Marlon.

It also contains a superhero that every kid wants to look up to. I, myself, aspire to be a superhero who gets his ass kicked by donuts.
I became a type2 when a sports injury resulted in a broken leg, herniated disc, and 75lbs weight gain :)
75 lbs on a sports injury? Did the doctor recommend a dose of caramel-coated lard for the pain or something?
Me, I prefer the GPS locator beacon. Especially on diamond runs in Utah.
But you wouldn't want the scout leader finding out where you are. That Holy Grail belongs in a museum!
In other words, if I were a parnent, I could only let my children into the building, but grandchildren are off limits?
I remember that the MS-DOS editor as we know it came in around version 5, but when did it get the tracert command and the prerequisite TCP/IP support?
(C'mon, it's an NT command prompt)

This means little to most slashdotters....We dont use Musicmatch Jukebox, thats what cdex, winamp, xmms, mplayer, etc is for.
You must be new here.
