  1. Comparisons to XP... on Windows Vista RC1 Impresses Critics · · Score: 2, Insightful

I must be ancient, but wasn't there a time when people objected to the soul stealing product activation in Windows XP? I mean it may be rock solid stable no reboot for months on end, but has the activation changed? I can't believe how many people on Slashdot are now willing to submit to such privacy invasion and hardware monitoring. While paying them to do it. What happened here???

    No lag in FFVI!

Though the load times suck, this is an SNES game, and it's slower on a PS than it is on my SNES? Craziness.

Firefox is bloated and slow. Opera has always been faster and easier to use. It's a pain in the ass to get Firefox to tab. Opera does it naturally. Maybe I got a bad version of Firefox, but it seemed like I had to configure all sorts of stuff for it to do what I wanted. Opera works right off the bat. To each their own.

I'd have to agree, this is not a surprise whatsoever. The kids in these schools are NOT protected by the First Amendment, and the teachers/administrators promote that view, as it makes their daily lives easier. It's the environment that we've created. For most students the first admendment doesn't exist or it has no effect on their lives, this reflects that.

Anyone remember Sierra Online? Whatever game portal type thing came out from Sierra, it had the RPG Shadows of Yserbius, some red baron flying game, and a couple other things. Was all pay-per-hour. Parents hated that heh. Altho, I don't think they're around anymore, so don't know if a lot of people were interested. Much different landscape today.

Right on, I didn't follow any specifics, so don't have a clue what was taken out. However, it was a wasted $50, as it was a crap action adventure with no storyline and lame character development. It's a bit of a stretch to call it an RPG. Now the first Wizardy, THAT's an RPG
