You do realize that not all schools are state-funded, right? Try pulling that shit at Rice or a similar private tech school and watch them laffo your asso. By the same token, however, I have no idea how universities are funded in India. So, take that for what it's worth.
$100? If that. We're already seeing DVD players that are actually retailing cheaper than an MPAA DVD itself. You get DVD players with you Cocoa Puffs nowadays, so it's easy to imagine that HDDVD/BVD players will be comprably priced.
Hey, I don't have it now, and I'm not pre-ordering it... It doesn't affect me whatsoever if it ever makes it out or not, so I'm not particularly worried about it. If it comes out, cool, I'll probably pick it up, unless it gets horrible reviews. If it doesn't, well, I'll be doing the same thing I'm doing right now: Not playing Duke Nukem Forever. No biggie.
Vaporware that's still being funded. I'm not getting my hopes up, be we heard more news about DNF last year than we have since 1997... It may see the light of day yet. Whether or not it's another Daikatana, however, will remain to be seen.
That's because the Duke Nukem you were playing on the N64 was a [bad] port of an already 5 year old (or was it older?) game. DNF is [supposed to be] a very different game.
You're an idiot. If twenty other people hadn't already proven you dead fucking wrong, then maybe I'd bother to do it. As it is right now, you're just a fucking idiot.
Wow, apparently you can't use eBay. I'm looking at eBay in another tab right now; any PS3 going for more than $50 above retail has ZERO BIDS. I never said they weren't being auctioned. I said they weren't being sold. Hey, you're an idiot. Cool! I'll just assume the rest of your post is ignorant, too.
The next Metal Gear Solid (MGS4) has pretty much already been confirmed for the Xbox 360. Same with GTA, and I'm sure it's only a matter of time before DMC makes it's way over there. So yeah, your argument sucks.
I also find it funny how you say you can't have a strong opinion on the PS3 for at least a year, whereas everybody else seems to already have a very strong (positive) opinion on the Wii.
I think the ebay prices pretty much show how this is working out for Sony: PS3s going unsold even at retail, Wiis selling like hotcakes at double retail. Wii accessories selling at triple retail. Throw that in with the fact that Nintendo has put almost three times the amount of Wiis out there compared to the PS3, and you have to throw away the "intentionally limited supply" argument. The only argument that you're left with is that nobody wants a PS3.
10 If nobody wants a system, nobody's going to make software for it. 20 If nobody makes software for it, nobody's going to buy it. 30 GOTO 10.
Sony alone can't make enough decent titles to keep the system afloat.
You're a fool. Have you actually seen what XNA can do? 2D Side scrollers? Where the hell are you coming up with this bullshit? Pretty much every single sentence in your post was grossly inaccurate.
Oh my god, people, I've read "Sisco" nearly 40 times already! It's SISKO. Benjamin SISKO. Go check StarTrek.com if you need to. Every single one of you just lost your right to be called a Trekkie. Turn in your combadges and your phasers immediately!
Yeah, I'm sure those were all "casual gamers" standing in that 5 hour line at E3 wanting to play with their Wii's. (I couldn't resist, but my point stands.)
I said "I figure chances are better than not". You're probably (unfortunately) in the minority on this one. (There's really no way to check, is there?)
I haven't had any problems with alcohol 120% as far as copy protection, and you can mount up to 26 virtual drives. (as many as you have letters for, really.) You're supposed to pay for it though. Supposed to. (If you're using DT for it's copy protection emulation, I figure chances are better than not you don't have a problem with downloading software in the first place. So might as well use Alcohol?)
I'm both, but I've yet to find any investors willing to offer such a generous sum of money. I'm lucky if I can eek out $5, which isn't enough to cover a trip to the hospital.
I had my TI-89 in 6th grade and ended up writing applications for half the school. The school at one point banned one of my applications, a basic "Chat" program that utilized the link cable between two calculators. Apparently, a bunch of kids were caught cheating in their math classes. Yes, I wrote games, but so did the submitter. Writing games is typically the only thing that interests young would-be programmers, at least until they have developed a basic understanding of the language and realize the other possibilities.

You're right.. that animation was awesome... back in 2001.

I just wrote a technical report on this idea two months ago. I should have patented that shit.

First, i'd like to see some kind of evidence for that, and second, Jonathon Frakes directed the totally sweet First Contact.
Just sayin'.

insert obligitory kryptonite joke here.

thus my point.

Thank you for that useless bit of trivia. Ken Jennings is on hold on line 3.

play-doh IS good eatin' though. even when dry.
dude
what the hell?
How much is napster paying you?
Oddly enough, the N64 was originally going to be called the Ultra 64.
Seriosuly, stop learning how to program, or you'll never get laid.
