Hmmm...I beg to differ. Music is, to a large extent, applied mathematics, arranged into a form that people find pleasant. Similarly, you could say that a musical "sentence" was proper if it was pleasurable to listen to. It's a language with a much looser grammar than usual.
Also, the brain *is* a computer, just not one that's terribly similar to our current digital computers. It is a massively parallel pattern recognition system (or can be viewed as such). Theoretically, anything it can do could be simulated by technology.
I've never played, so none of those names mean anything to me. However, I plan to play in the future....but things'll still be a surprise for me! So, you fail. Bad troll.
Are you thinking Grand Inquisitor? I remember rather enjoying that game....quirky, creative, and not at all afraid to kill your character if you chose to do something foolish =)
One of the games I remember fondly was Hugo's House of Horrors...not exactly text-only, but it had the same elements of problem-solving and typing in text commands to do things. I'm significantly below 30, and I was maybe 9 or 10 when I first played that game....as far as text-only games, specifically Infocom's, I've always been fascinated by the Zork series (I didn't custom-set my sig for this post), although I haven't made the time to seriously play through any of them....
How does that work? Polarized glasses separate light polarized in two different directions, providing a different image to each eye, simulating regular binocular vision. Are you saying that you see two images in daily life if you have both eyes open? What's the name of this genetic disorder? I'm not trying to be skeptical, you've just tripped my curiosity trigger!
Shutter glasses and glasses with internal displays are completely different. The idea with these shuttered glasses is that you watch your regular tv or monitor, and its 120hz frequency is sufficient to provide 60fps per eye.
What are you talking about?!?! I do the audio equivalent all the time! I download 64kbps MP3 files, and reencode them to 320kbps to regain the quality! Screw information theory! I'm an audiophile, I can tell the difference!
Well, given that horses are known to be terrible people....

Sorry, making an addendum to my post. I guess my point is that I understand modifying firmware, and I enjoy modding my own hardware, but when you're modifying a system that's expected to be rigidly controlled by the original writer of the software, you've gotta deal with the consequences.

A console is a complete system. If you're modifying its behavior with custom firmware, it's with the understanding that some things won't work the way they did before. You're accepting the inconveniences, presumably because you think that whatever features you gain are worth it.
Wait...how are you planning on disallowing traffic to Google's gmail servers?
FoTRAN? So you went to an "urban" school?

I think we've been in that penultimate step for a while now. Here's hoping Ghandi was right =)
Yes, but it's all OK. The moon aliens will help clean up their mess.
Do they? Hmm. I must be doing it wrong.
True in Japan, but its use among Americans usually refers to sexual anime/manga series. A synonym would be "perverted".
noted in previous posts to be inaccurate.
Please make a note of it.
Most people don't bother modding ACs
I remember that. 3d world's chat, or something. I remember you could go out into this huuuge open field, and there was a castle in the middle...

Easy solution: Spaceman.

Oooh, my favorite game series!

Carl Sagan came up with the term "googel". Google's name is a misspelled joke.

Yup. Many current hdtvs specifically advertise a 120hz refresh and provide a connection port for synchronizing refresh times.

yes, frankly it *IS* silly to only communicate over Facebook. You never use e-mail, IM, or *gasp* an in-person meeting?
Lucky few? A couple clicks in Ubuntu, or a couple CLI commands in any other distro.
